Film Study: Calhoun v Peach County Recruit Search

Great size with a solid build and I could see how fluid his route running was in warm-ups. Great hands and athleticism for a big man, basketball skills. He had a good grab in traffic for big gain and scored a rushing TD on a 1 yard run. The play that impressed me the most didn't even result in yardage. He is listed at 6'0 160 now but carries himself much bigger in pads. He had an outstanding 1st half completing 8 of 10 passes for 106 yards and a TD. Several times he was corralled in the backfield but he has great elusiveness, keeps those feet moving and eyes downfield. He ended the half with 6 carries for 58 yards. Big physical presence on defense 6'3 220. Upshaw is quick off the snap and good speed. Athletic kid that can chase you from sideline to sideline and a decisive tackler. I expect his recruiting to really take off after this post season. He is an Intimidating presence in the backfield at 6'2 190. Great North-South runner that runs through defenders and is a load to bring down. Showed he had some speed on an 80 yard TD run, weaving through defenders and out running the defensive skill guys to the endzone. A multisport athlete who gets it done in the classroom and comes from a football family. Fierce competitor with a high football IQ that looks to be a natural leader on the field. If you don't like him at QB spot I have no doubt he could help you at any skill position at the next level. He had two receptions in the 1st half for 58 yards, both setting up scores for Peach. Played well in the defensive secondary contending for a couple of balls and came up quickly in run support. He is electric with the ball in his hands and showed that on Friday in various ways. Beasley scored the opening TD for the Jackets on a 37 TD grab and would later take a pitch on a end around for a big gain. He caught my attention on the last play of the half by beating the OL and sacking the fleet footed Hawkins who had avoided tacklers in the backfield to that point.
