I've begun diving into the upcoming rankings update (February), and I've solidified my position on several DBs. Out of the DBs we currently have ranked, there are a few that I strongly feel should receive D2 offers. Here are my five current D2-calibre DBs!

An all-around phenomenal high school DB. Can play man-to-man, can stop the run, can drop back into zone. Whatever you want, Luke can fit that role.
Against Cass Tech, Luke had a phenomenal game, further proof that he's able to get it done against top competiton.

I also know that Luke has great athletic testing numbers. Really, I don't need to sell anyone on Luke because he already has an offer from Ferris State. D2's usually wait until the spring before a prospect's Senior season to recruit and send out offers, but Ferris obviously agrees with me in my evaluation.

Will be a great player in the GLAIC if he chooses to go D2. Could also work his way up on a MAC roster.

George had a breakout Sophomore season with Spring Lake, then had an even better season with Mona Shores this season.

This season, Geroge had an even better season on defense. Still very rangy, still very physical, and made a few big plays. Parlay that with George's size and athleticism, and you've got yourself a very good prospect. The only thing keeping George from being a D1 prospect is his IQ. I just don't see excellent IQ.

It also helps that George played quite a bit of offense this season. He served as a great jump ball receiver and, again, displayed great physicality. A Division 2 prospect in my book, and I'd be shocked if he didn't earn GLIAC offers this Spring.

My gut feeling is that [player_tooltip player_id='1529458' first='Dominic' last='Piggue'] is going to earn GLIAC offers this spring.

When I watched him against Byron Center, he was all over the field. Always laying huge hits, playing with physicality, and even playing through a bit of pain. I saw a great amount of grit, leadership, and athletic ability. His tape actually shows a ton of offensive highlights- good route running and a ton of big plays this season. I'm not sure what Dominic wants to play in college, but I think he could be recruited as a D2 Defensive Back.

Rondre has always been a very talented football player. Blazing speed, decent fundamentals, and attends a ton of camps every single offseason

He's a more fringe D2 guy for me- he didn't test quite as well at Stock Up as he did back in April, but he's still extremely athletic. He's also quite good in coverage but does struggle against really good double moves. Rondre is offered by Wayne State, and I think that offer sticks, and I think that or another GLIAC school could be excellent landing spots for him.

Considering his testing numbers and performance at our Stock Up showcase, Samarae definitely has the skill to be a Division 2 defensive back.

Across the board, he had above-average testing numbers and several great 1on1 reps. Not bad for someone who lined up at OLB all season. That said, I don't know how much schools will value or devalue him because of his in-season position. My take is that as long as Samarae continues to perform well at off-season camps, he'll almost certainly earn D2 offers. If he performs a little worse, he still should be able to earn D3 offers.

I've begun diving into the upcoming rankings update (February), and I've solidified my position on several DBs. Out of the DBs we currently have ranked, there are a few that I strongly feel should receive D2 offers. Here are my five current D2-calibre DBs!
