Speed, speed, speed. Ron’dre is a standout player in the OAA Blue very largely because of his blazing speed.
How fast is Ron’Dre? Well, he runs a sub-11s 100M and ran a verified 4.5 40-yard dash a little over a year ago. That kind of speed will get eyes on you, and I know at least one GLIAC school (Wayne State) has a close eye on him.
Ron’Dre isn’t without his weaknesses. For one, he tends to struggle with change of direction, especially when playing press man. He seems to be working on this, as he’s got a few recent clips on Twitter showing good COD work. As for an OAA Blue DB, he’s arguably the best of the best. Absolute standout in this league.
Ron’Dre was one of our top performers last month at the Stock Up Showcase. He moves incredibly well and had the nice testing numbers to back it up. On film, you see that athleticism really translate. First thing I noticed is his ability to give a cushion and then close the gap immediately. Typically he is able to jump the route for a pick or PBU. Next I noticed his prowess in the return game. He can take back a punt every time he gets the ball. His vision and ability to accelerate makes him incredibly hard to slow down. I am excited for what this kid could do for his stock this summer and during the season!
Rondre has always been a very talented football player. Blazing speed, decent fundamentals, and attends a ton of camps every single offseason
He’s a more fringe D2 guy for me- he didn’t test quite as well at Stock Up as he did back in April, but he’s still extremely athletic. He’s also quite good in coverage but does struggle against really good double moves. Rondre is offered by Wayne State, and I think that offer sticks, and I think that or another GLIAC school could be excellent landing spots for him.
Ron’Dre has a lot going for him. From his T&F stardom, good offseason performances, and his Wayne State offer, he looks like he could be one of the best DBs in the midwest. This summer and next season, he needs to prove that he’s “Top DB in the Country 2026” as it says on his Twitter. There’s no doubt that he has the speed and athletic ability to be a Power 5 defensive back. His skillset is the only thing that will keep him from Division 1 offers this offseason and beyond. I hope to see Ron’Dre at some offseason camps this summer, as me and every college coach should get a much better idea of his abilities.
