The Buffalo commit has a shot of stunning a lot of people who don’t pay attention to Oak Park. Reed is a flat out beast with an incredible motor. He creates complete havoc in the middle of the offensive line, and has the ability to win rep after rep against a variety of offensive linemen. Camp after camp this offseason, Reed impressed. He developed and sharpened some legitimate moves that he can rely on, so I would be shocked if he isn’t a sack a game player, if not more.

Likely the biggest riser of this offseason. Reed was a fun watch on tape, but he completely blew people away at camps. Very rarely do we see an IDL with Reed’s level of burst and initial violence. Of course, Reed has some things to work on, but the upside is unquestioned.
From an unknown prospect to an elite MAC target. Extremely rare to see!

- The best interior defensive lineman in this class
- Extremely high win rate. Getoff and first move are difficult to block
- Much better counter than average. Doesn’t typically get stiffed after initial move doesn’t work.
- A step below some of the most skilled DTs I’ve seen, but a step above in terms of size
- William’s upside rivals some of the best DTs we’ve seen in Michigan
- Really under-the-radar guy up until early this year. Love seeing a late-bloomer!

- Looks like a STEAL for the MAC
- Unsure why all MAC schools don’t offer- checks a ton of boxes
- Ideal size for a DT
- Hands and feet move at the same time. Always pushing forward while executing his moves.
- Violent hands.
- Should continue polishing a couple of moves. Make them elite. Ball out at camps
- Good DTs are extremely hard to find. For every 50 good WRs, there seems to be one good DT. Maybe an exaggerated take, but still, DTs like

Whenever someone earns their first D1 offer after their Junior season, I call them a “late bloomer”. These kind of prospects are rare simply because most D1s heavily focus their attention on scouting incoming Juniors, not incoming seniors.
After a sensational showing at our Prep Redzone camp and Rising Stars, William has earned offers from Akron and Buffalo. A dude with ideal size, a quick getoff, and the physicality to quickly get opposing O-lineman’s hands off him.
Plus, he’s a game-wrecker in the OAA Blue. Heck, he’d be a handful against the best teams in the state. William should continue earning a ton of college attention this offseason, and he’ll be a game-wrecker this coming season.

Strengths
- Great size for DT
- Amazing performance at Prep Redzone camp late 2024
- Great broad jump
- Explosive off line
Weaknesses
- Lack of true highlight plays
- Bad competition
- Lacks motor and IQ
Reed is someone I liked last year, and performed very well at our latest Stock Up camp. Below average 40 and shuttle but a good broad jump. Good use of hands in 1on1 portion- still raw but knows the basics of a few moves. Just needs better coaching and time to develop athletically. Low Division 2 prospect

William was really great to watch work. He took all of the coaching in stride and was able to apply it on the next rep. He has really good size and was able to use a great mix of power and finesse to be one of the most impressive defensive linemen in attendance. He didn’t post the most impressive testing numbers, but his 101 inch broad jump did show off how explosive he can be. It showed up in the 1 on 1 portion of the evening as he was able to shoot out of his stance low and show off great bend to beat blockers right off the bat. I loved the way he was able to punch to open up the offensive player and get them off balance. This is a kid college scouts should do their homework on!

I am highly excited for Willaim Reed’s junior season. Last year, William had some very strong performances against good OAA programs. He’s displayed a few good block-shedding moves besides bull-rushing every single down. The most apparent move of his is a good push-pull. William can also bull rush, and that was especially effective against inside run plays. He also had a good year on the offensive line, but honestly falls behind when it comes to fundamentals. I expect William to take a step up this season and eventually morph into a solid Division 2 college prospect.
