[player_tooltip player_id='1097273' first='Coda' last='Barnoski'] - Junior Linebacker

It's time to start talking about junior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1097273' first='Coda' last='Barnoski'] much more moving forward. Last season, Barnoski enjoyed a breakout season as just a sophomore but this year, he's emerged as the team's leading tackler and quite frankly, he's one of the best linebackers in Class 6A-2 this season. Barnoski is a hard hitter who can absolutely wreck an opposing offense in the run game and he's even proven that he can be valuable in defending the pass. He's near the top of the charts for pass deflections this season from his linebacker position. Barnoski is also one part of three linebackers that might make up the best linebacker group in Class 6A-2 and in the state this season. He's been outstanding this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570987' first='EJ' last='James'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

Senior wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1570987' first='EJ' last='James'] was someone we knew about coming into the season but we were still waiting for him to have that breakout moment and it's certainly happened for him this season. As a legitimate threat on both sides of the ball, James has been incredibly productive on offense and defense. Defensively, James is starring in the secondary with a handful of interceptions and even more passes defended. When offenses look to challenge him, he's been able to answer the call time after time. Offensively, he isn't the top target in the passing game but you can definitely consider him a big play guy. He's averaging over 20 yards per reception and has been electric on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Jamarian' last='Ficklin'] - Senior Quarterback

Coming into this season, there were not many players in Oklahoma that we would take over senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Jamarian' last='Ficklin'] and that list has gotten shorter and shorter. This season, Ficklin has continued to show why he's arguably the best player in Oklahoma this season and what's scary is he hasn't had to play like the "Superman" athlete that we saw last season. What's even scarier is that he's had some pressure taken off his shoulders from a playmaker perspective on offense that he's been able to play a little defense. Ficklin has lined up at safety and has even come down with a few interceptions. But when it comes down to it, Ficklin is the best quarterback in the state and he's going to be ready to defend that crown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570990' first='Kaden' last='Harken'] - Junior Defensive Lineman

After looking back at our notes coming into this season, junior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1570990' first='Kaden' last='Harken'] is a player that was definitely flying under the radar to us back in the summer. It didn't take long for Harken to have a significant impact and be another piece of this Muskogee front seven that causes a lot of problems for opposing offenses. This season, Harken has emerged as one of the better tacklers on the team and more specifically, he has a nose for the ball in the backfield. He's one of the team's leaders in tackles for loss and when you look at this front seven across the board, it's hard not to be impressed with the talent and production they have. Harken looks to finish off his breakout season with another ring.

[player_tooltip player_id='479391' first='Latavion' last='Johnson'] - Senior Linebacker

When we look at Muskogee's road back to the state championship game, senior [player_tooltip player_id='479391' first='Latavion' last='Johnson'] is one of the better stories coming into this week. At this time last year, we were writing about Johnson as one of the breakout players in the Muskogee offense at the running back position. He had double digit touchdown carries but this season, the Roughers had an All State addition at running back and that meant the carries were going to go down for Johnson. But he's turned around and become a breakout player once again but this time on defense. Johnson has been one of the leading tacklers on that side of the ball and he's another part of the three-headed monster at the linebacker position for the Rougher.s

[player_tooltip player_id='1310013' first='Micheal' last='Puckett'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1310013' first='Micheal' last='Puckett'] is listed as a wide receiver and defensive back but he's definitely a player to watch for what he brings to the defensive side of the ball. It seems like the consensus whenever we're talking about the defensive standouts is "hard-hitting" but that's the truth again here with Puckett. He's a defensive back that loves to hit and he's another guy that has been incredibly productive this season. The Muskogee senior is a player that should play at the next level because he's hand a handful of offers come in during this season. Puckett and the rest of the Muskogee secondary will look to slow down Choctaw's speedy receivers and they'll use that strength and hitting ability to do just that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1187309' first='Miguel' last='Chavez'] - Senior Offensive Lineman

Senior offensive lineman and UNLV commit [player_tooltip player_id='1187309' first='Miguel' last='Chavez'] has been one of the more underrated guys at this position in the state. And the 2025 OL group is incredibly talented but Chavez definitely belongs in the conversation for one of the best of the group. Chavez is your typical offensive tackle that's protecting the quarterback's blind side. Because Ficklin is a lefty, that means Chavez has been lined up at right tackle. We're still impressed with the way he looked back in the spring, going one on one against one of the best pass rushers in the state. More times than not, he won that match-up. Chavez and the rest of the Rougher offensive line pave the way for arguably the best backfield in the state this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='598826' first='Ondraye' last='Beasley'] - Senior Wide Receiver

Senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='598826' first='Ondraye' last='Beasley'] is incredibly dynamic and that has been proven time after time this season. Beasley has been Muskogee's leading receiver in the offense this season and is another one of those Oklahoma prospect that is criminally underrated as a recruit. Just look at the production and big play potential that he's had, not only this season but look at last year as well. Beasley is one of several wide receivers in this offense that can beat teams deep. Choctaw is going to have to be aware of where Beasley is at all times this week. He's also a threat in the running game, but make no mistake about it, when this Muskogee senior is on the field, he's the go-to target in the passing game for the Roughers.

[player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] - Senior Running Back

We mentioned earlier with Johnson that Muskogee got an All State addition at the running back position. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] is that guy and he's been outstanding for the Roughers this season. Coming into the state championship game, Wallace has run for more than 1,700 yards and over 20 touchdowns on the season. Wallace joining the Roughers has taken a lot of pressure off Ficklin and between the two of them, they are such a dangerous 1-2 combo in the backfield. We've always considered Wallace one of the better running backs in the state's 2025 class and now he gets a chance to shine on the biggest stage in Class 6A-2. He's also one of the top available 2025 prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='1097271' first='Timothy' last='Moore'] - Senior Linebacker

At this time last year, senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1097271' first='Timothy' last='Moore'] was another name to know going into the state championship game but this time around, he's one of the top names on the defensive side of the ball. Moore has been incredibly productive this season and he's second on the team in tackles and he's the third part of that three-headed monster at the linebacker position with Barnoski and Johnson. Between the three of them, they have well over 300 tackles this season and have been a big problem for opposing offenses. Looking at Moore's game in particular, it's impressive to see the solo tackle number because he has shown he can get out in space and take opposing ball carriers on in a one on one situation.
