Prior to last season, Chavez was somewhat of an unknown but during the season, it didn’t take long for him to gain attention from college coaches and his recruitment took off. Chavez has emerged as one of the more intriguing offensive lineman prospects in a loaded 2025 class in the state. We got a chance to see the Roughers back in May at team camp and Chavez was absolutely dominant. And he was going one on one with one of the top defensive ends in the state and he was winning the battles more times than not.

and he looks to be the next big name to come up on the offensive line. And as we fast forward to 2024 and look ahead to this fall, we expect Chavez to take on a bigger role as the senior veteran returning. Chavez is already on the radar for college coaches and his recruitment could explode this spring with more college coaches making trips to Oklahoma to recruit the Roughers as they look to defend their 6A-2 crown this fall.
