Patriot took down Battlefield for the first time in eight tries thanks to a herculean type effort from their defense. The Bobcats had been averaging over 35 points per contest and thanks to the play of junior corner [player_tooltip player_id='854153' first='Aiden' last='Pagonis'] amongst others their run is now over. Pagonis picked off an interception in the endzone to end Battlefield's perfect season and give Patriot a shot at the Regional Championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232939' first='Brett' last='Edmonds'] capped off a phenomenal career for the Panthers with some championship hardware. Leading Paul VI to their first conference title in over 20 years, Edmonds has been rolling all season. Coming back from an early season loss to St. Mary's, the senior throw for two touchdowns and more importantly zero turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1231297' first='Jake' last='Mangano'] was the defensive player of the year for many reasons, his outing against North Stafford just added to know what most already know about him, he is a beast! The Shepherd University bound prospect was all over the Wolverines backfield notching two sacks. The leader up front on both sides Mangano could be a huge matchup problem for Patriot next week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1298397' first='Joshua' last='Johnson'] has been Paul VI bell cow running back all season, and he capped off his championship receiving year with 3 touchdowns this past Friday. The WCAC offensive player of the year is just getting started, while I miss seeing him playing on Friday's he most certainly will be be playing on Saturdays soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='853812' first='Brock' last='Brimhall'] is leading Colonial Forge on a potential region title with his level of play. Leading the upset over North Stafford, the lefty is taking care of the football and has the Eagles on the verge of a championship. The junior threw the football well Friday night and is poised to face a stout Pioneers defense upcoming. Brimhall and company beat Patriot in the regular season, can they do it again to bring the gold Stafford?

I have talked a lot about the Skyline Hawks and their marvelous season, but honestly not enough about the quarterback senior [player_tooltip player_id='1565922' first='Nate' last='Ballard']. The young man has been poised/steady and awesome in his final year for Skyline, one that lead the Hawks to one of their best seasons in recent memory. A dual threat passer, Ballard earned honorable mention all district selections and really improved with his accuracy as the season progressed. I will be curious to see how his recruiting starts to pick up, personally I think he could thrive for many division 3 schools.

Only watch listed in our last edition, Trinity Episcopal [player_tooltip player_id='853094' first='Hugh' last='Stone'] is coming along very well. 6'4 and 235 lbs. Stone is getting attention from many FCS level schools. His skill set and route running are both excellent, he is poised to rise up our new ranking board when it comes out in early 2025.
