Ravenwood continued to showcase their explosiveness in the quarterfinal round of the TSSAA Playoffs, rolling over Stewarts Creek 38-14 to advance to the semifinals game against Houston. What made Starr so impactful was his presence from along the edge, showcasing his ability to lock down the backfield and assist on tackles in the pocket. The Auburn commit also stood out with his awareness and ability to read the offense like a book.

Tape:

Showcasing his talent offensively was [player_tooltip player_id='219435' first='Ben' last='Hubbard'], a wide receiver at Ravenwood High School. Hubbard hauled in an impressive touchdown pass, utilizing his electric speed to break free of the defense and blast into the endzone for the touchdown. Hubbard also caught my attention with his ability to get open for the deep ball.

Tape:

Making a difference down the stretch was [player_tooltip player_id='390640' first='Max' last='Kimpel'], a wide receiver at Ravenwood High School. Kimpel caught my attention in the first half, hauling in a clutch touchdown pass in the first half to extend the home team's lead. In addition to excellent breakaway speed, I like how Kimpel can elevate off the ground to catch the challenging pass.

Tape:

Making a difference on the ground was [player_tooltip player_id='497427' first='Caleb' last='Floyd'], a running back at Stewarts Creek High School. Floyd held his own against a tough defense, punching in two touchdowns for the Red Hawks. What I like about Floyd is his size, speed and ability to find openings in the defensive line. Floyd also stands out with his ability to muscle his way into the endzone from just a few yards out.

Tape:

Another ground weapon to showcase his talent was [player_tooltip player_id='1103577' first='Caden' last='Pace'], a running back at Ravenwood High School. Pace was huge in the first half, blasting past the defense to put in an impressive touchdown in the first half. Pace proved his ability to quickly overpower the defense in the pocket and pick up speed in the backfield to break tackles.

Tape:

Impressing me under center was [player_tooltip player_id='402559' first='Maverick' last='Chance'], a quarterback at Ravenwood High School. Chance stood out with his ability to both run the ball and get the ball out of his hands before the defense makes contact. I also liked how Chance could find weak spots in the defensive line, marching into the endzone for the touchdown in the first half of action.

Tape:

Game Recap

Ravenwood quickly found their way into the endzone in the first quarter as an excellent pass from [player_tooltip player_id='402540' first='Femi' last='Babalola'] to [player_tooltip player_id='219435' first='Ben' last='Hubbard'] resulted in an early 7-0 lead for the Raptors. Ravenwood's offense was back in the redzone before long as the Raptors would extend their lead thanks to an impressive touchdown from Babalola to [player_tooltip player_id='390640' first='Max' last='Kimpel'] to put the home team up 14-0. The Raptors would continue to roll over the Red Hawks as a quick handoff to [player_tooltip player_id='1103577' first='Caden' last='Pace'] would put Ravenwood up 21-0 over Stewarts Creek. The Raptors continued to blast the opposition on the offensive end as [player_tooltip player_id='402559' first='Maverick' last='Chance'] marched into the house to put the Raptors up 28-0 on the Red Hawks. Ravenwood would kick a field goal to go up 31-0 at the half. The Raptors would put another touchdown on the board to start the second half as a handoff to Davis Dowland resulted in another touchdown. Ravenwood was up 38-0. Stewarts Creek would make their presence known offensively in the third quarter as [player_tooltip player_id='497427' first='Caleb' last='Floyd'] found his way past the defense and into the house for the touchdown. Stewarts Creek trailed Ravenwood 38-7. With just seconds left in the fourth quarter, the Red Hawks would put another touchdown on the board as Floyd muscled his way into the house for the score. Ravenwood would go on to win 38-14.

Ravenwood continued to showcase their explosiveness in the quarterfinal round of the TSSAA Playoffs, rolling over Stewarts Creek 38-14 to advance to the semifinals game against Houston. After catching the postseason action in Brentwood, here's my list of top performers as well as my full game recap.
