Chris Smith | Prep Redzone Scout
The stat line for Pace may not show a lot of numbers but his two rushing scores in the Raptors 28-21 win over CPA proved to be big with one of them being a seven point difference maker. What Pace did best was provide balance to the offense with the occasional three to five yard runs that moved the chains and kept drives alive. Pace may not be the biggest but he is well put together with good athleticism.

Pace’s statsheet may not wow you because he shares the backfield, so it’s hard for him to assemble a monster performance. However, he was a key factor in why the Raptors won. He was good in pass protection while running very hard and giving RHS a good enough run game to stay balanced. Pace has a compact build but is strong, has nice athleticism, good vision and is slippery, which makes him hard to tackle.

Pace was one of the engines of a highly productive run game for Ravenwood in 2024. Pace comes in at 5’9 185 and PR’d at 11.55 in the 100M in 2024, but he plays both bigger and faster than listed. He is well-built and strong in his frame with a low center of gravity. He might not be a thumper, but tacklers roll off of him, and he frequently sheds off tackle attempts on long runs. He is twitchy, accelerates well through his cuts, and steps on the toes of defenders when changing directions. Pace has adequate tools and a great feel for the position. There isn’t a lot of recruiting buzz here, but another productive season will have him firmly on the map.

is the definition of an all-around back. He blocks well, poses a threat as a receiver, makes defenders miss in space, and shows impressive patience when setting up his blocks. His speed allows him to reach the second level quickly, where he can make a move and has the breakaway ability to take it to the house. After producing effectively on a loaded offense last season, Pace is poised for an even bigger role this year—and it’ll be exciting to watch.

, a running back at Ravenwood High School. Pace made a huge difference in the fourth quarter, securing the victory for the Raptors by blasting into the house for the touchdown. What impressed me about Pace’s playstyle was his ability to absorb defensive contact and fight for extra steps on his way into the endzone.
