Grayson achieved a major milestone when he broke the All-Time Gaston County Passing Yardage record earlier this season. Grayson has the ability to really be a threat from the pocket, throwing the football with good timing and precision throughout his career. Over the last couple of years, Grayson has led Mountain Island to a winning record & success. Grayson is leading Mountain Island into the playoffs in the 1A West bracket, with a home game this week.

Khalel is a talented dual-threat quarterback prospect who was committed to playing football at Kennesaw State University, however, Khalel has decommitted due to coaching changes within the program per his Twitter profile. Khalel has very good accuracy in throwing the football with a strong arm. As a runner, Khalel can make good decisions and has good speed in the open field. We are excited to see Khalel have the opportunity to excel at this stage.

Justin is a 3-Year Starter who has helped turn the Independence Program into a State Title Contender. He makes excellent decisions with the football and can be considered a Dual-Threat quarterback. Justin has several college offers to play football at the next level and will be an asset to a team. Justin is leading the Patriots into the playoffs after a strong 10-1 regular season record.

In Braydon's first full season as a starting quarterback for the Mavericks, he has had some strong moments & helped the Mavericks compete in one of the toughest conferences in the state of North Carolina. He has a strong arm and can make big throws all over the football field. Braydon has a future at the college level in my honest opinion. Braydon had some limited options at receiver this season, however, he made the most of the players around him and distributed the football well.

Brandon is a gifted prospect who has committed to play college football at Lafayette College. As an athlete, Brandon excels at several positions including running back, wide receiver, and defensive back. As an offensive player, Brandon excels with the ball in his hands with very good speed. He has excellent football intelligence on defense also. Brandon's future projects more as a safety when asking several area football coaches where he may be best suited in college.

Jycen can play just about anywhere on offense – he excels as a running back, an H-Back, and a wide receiver most prominently. Jycen as a back gets north/south very well and has good vision. He is an excellent receiver out of the backfield, often getting important catches that move the chains for first downs. He was Team Offensive MVP last season. Jycen has proven to be very valuable this season as well, leading a talented Huskies team into the state playoffs as a high overall seed in the 4A West bracket.

Andre is a talented player who can play multiple positions – most notably defensive back, and quarterback, and he can be an effective returner on special teams. Andre had offers from Hampton, Catawba, East Tennessee State, & Buffalo amongst others. Andre committed to play college football at Hampton just a few weeks ago. At 5'10 and 170 pounds, Andre has excellent speed and agility. He is a game-changer. Andre is leading Corvian into the state playoffs in the 1A West bracket with a good chance to make a run at their first-ever state championship.

Johntay is a 6'0 165-pound player who can star as a Wide Receiver, Defensive Back, Running Back, & as a returner on Special Teams. Johntay has been timed at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard Dash. Johntay has some track success as a highly regarded runner. Johntay has had success in all three phases this season – returns for TDs & Pick 6's. Johntay is a player who started the year on our Watch List and has exceeded those expectations. If given an opportunity, I think he can contribute to a college football program.
