Williams and the Knights stopped the Railroaders and their magical season in their tracks on Friday night. Williams was just too much for them, as he wore them down, broke off big runs, and ultimately had a huge day. Williams averaged 6.8 YPC, put up a long of 38 yards, and scored three times. His 183 yards on the ground was a game-high and helped land them in the state finals next week.

Oliver has had a stellar career and has only improved each year. He's versatile and came through offensively for Linton-Stockton. LS has scratched and clawed its way into the finals this year because they suffered 2 early season losses that could have rocked the boat, but instead, they steadied the ship. Oliver has been a big reason. He's a leader, and confident, and the guys around him trust him. His 157 yards and a TD led the game, and it was his 90-yard TD that was the play of the game.

Kempf and Providence are on an impressive roll as they've improved each year with Kempf under Center. 8-4, 12-1, and 13-0. Friday night, Kempf accounted for 4 TDs. 3 on the ground and 1 through the air. While he didn't throw much, he threw a TD pass and then dominated on the ground. He's got good vision and it allows him to slice up and down the field. His 150 yards and 3 TDs on the ground helped propel Providence 35-30.

Some nights you need your QB to step up and come through, and that's exactly what Polston did on Friday. Bloomington South's defense is aggressive and can get after the QB. Polston did a good job being smart with his decision-making, getting the ball out fast, and not putting it in harm's way. 18 of 29 for 206 yards and a TD was enough to get them over the hump. Decatur Central has been right on the front door of a state title for a few years, and now they're 1 step away.

Goldsberry just put up a cold-blooded performance against Batesville. I don't want to say he had a perfect night, because there are going to be some things he could clean up, but you can't get much better. Goldsberry went 9 for 9 for 229 yards and 3 TDs and then added 81 yards and another 2 TDs on the ground. He didn't miss a throw and had over 300 yards and 5 total TDs as the Patriots move on.
