The class of 2027 has phenomenal potential. Our current ranked players are all expected to be college prospects and a select few I view as legit D1 prospects. This article includes five players who I strongly believe have legitimate D1 upside.

I still hold strong in believing Tyden will be a Division 1 prospect.

Tyden has yet to leave a significant mark on the Varsity level, and he honestly still has to hit that growth spurt. However, this past offseason, Tyden displayed some of the best route-running, change of direction, hands, and explosiveness I've seen from any WR prospect.

Seriously, I'd be SHOCKED if Tyden didn't eventually earn GLIAC scholarships at the very least. As long as Tyden can stay healthy and have another good offseason, he'll be a very, very productive high school football player next season.

So yes, Tyden remains in the top 20 and should still be ranked pretty high after the massive February update.

Jack's size will tell you most of what you need to know about his potential.

So, yeah, Jack is very tall and has long limbs- which is half the battle when it comes to being recruited as a DE/EDGE.

As for skill, Jack is a bit raw from the little 2024 tape I have of him. In the future, I'd love to see Jack improve his getoff, hands, and overall motor. I will say, Jack has a very wide tackle radius, which is expected for someone of his size. He also has very high upside on the offensive line!

I'm still "wait and see" on Jack, but there's zero doubt that he has a much higher upside and smoother path to being a D1 prospect than most.

Roseville has had plenty of D1 prospects over the years, and Armani could be the next man up.

At surface level, Armani has good size, plays multiple positions, plays multiple sports, and is on a team with a proven record of D1 success.

This is where the projection game comes into play. I know that Armani is a very talented athlete with both basketball and football. The thing is, I can't rank him super high without any tape. I have seen some, but that was a long time ago at this point. However, my expectations for Armani are quite high. I know he's got the talent to be a D1 prospect as a linebacker or D-Linemen, and I really, really hope his tape eventually backs me up.

As I looked over the Class of 2027, Kayden popped up as a very, very under-appreciated talent.

Kayden is a one-of-a-kind talent at Detroit Edison. To put this as simply as possible, he's a very athletic and reactive two-way player. Offensively Kayden sports great vision and open-field elusiveness. I am highly impressed with his ability to earn yards after catch. Defensively, he seems a bit raw, but can come down with INTs. On top of that, he's a great return man.

Kayden looks like a future fringe D1 prospect on tape. I don't think he's at that D1 level just yet, but I am projecting a great offseason and a huge 2025 season for Kayden. I really, really hope to see Kayden sometime this offseason to get a more solid scouting report on him.

Two articles including Jabin this week, but he was impossible to leave off of this one.

Quickly, Jabin has good size, way above-average athleticism, and way above-average arm talent. He's been an off-season baller for a long, long time at this point, and he's currently a great role player in the OLSM offense.

Now, Jabin has an opportunity to prove why he's considered a future D1 player. As long as he hits this offseason hard, Jabin should be QB1 for OLSM next season. I really look forward to seeing the fruits of Jabin's labor show, and he's still a definite D1 guy in my book.
