Roseville has had plenty of D1 prospects over the years, and Armani could be the next man up.
At surface level, Armani has good size, plays multiple positions, plays multiple sports, and is on a team with a proven record of D1 success.
This is where the projection game comes into play. I know that Armani is a very talented athlete with both basketball and football. The thing is, I can’t rank him super high without any tape. I have seen some, but that was a long time ago at this point. However, my expectations for Armani are quite high. I know he’s got the talent to be a D1 prospect as a linebacker or D-Linemen, and I really, really hope his tape eventually backs me up.

Armani is an edge-type defensive lineman to look out for as he heads into his freshman year of high school. With him being a sneaky playmaker, Armani is natural pass rusher who nows how to disrupt any passing offensive passing attempts. Armani is blazing fast off the snap and has a knack for dipping an ripping through pass blockers when as he makes his way to the quaterback. Just from what I have seen, Armani is a defensive weapon that is going to make some noise at the next level. I am very excited to see what he can do in the future.

-Long Defensive End/Outside Linebacker prospect at 6-foot-1 and 205-pounds. Played more of your new “Edge” position during the regular season and stood up, rather then lining up with his hand in the dirt
-Watched him play twice this winter (December and February) and both times he was quietly impressive. Physically isn’t an eye-popping prospect at first site, but he makes a lot of plays if you watch and pay attention
-His athleticism and quick-twitch is something to take note off. For example, at the AYF National All-Star Game in early February, came rushing off the edge and was one-on-one with a Quarterback trying to make a pass. Hegmon jumped up and batted a quick pass which resulted in an interception. Not an easy play to make at full speed
