We saw a ton of high-powered offenses go to work last week and today we are checking out some of the top rushing performances! Shanks has strung together some great performances on the ground this season, and last week's matchup against James Clemens was no different. Shanks had a huge night on the ground in his team's 34-24 win, consistently making plays all night long. Shanks has a diverse skill set- he plays with great speed, acceleration, and elusiveness that make him a threat in open space, he routinely makes defenders miss and can take carries the distance. Shanks is also a great contributor to his team's passing game- he has a reliable set of hands and great YAC ability that helps him take short check-downs for big gains. It was really impressive seeing all of these traits shine last week against James Clemens, Shanks ended up carrying the ball 26 times for 150 yards and a touchdown while also hauling in one reception for 23 yards. Shanks was all over the field making plays for his offense and was a huge reason why they won this game. Be sure to watch Shanks down the stretch of this season, he's a talented playmaker looking to cap off his senior season with more big plays!

[player_tooltip player_id='479691' first='Christian' last='Richey'] is a really talented running back out of Hillcrest who has been super reliable for his team's rushing attack this year. Richey is coming off a dominant performance against Hueytown last week where he made plays on the ground and through the air in his team's 48-14 win. Despite being a smaller back, Richey plays with a ton of toughness and takes hits better than most- he has great contact balance, can break tackles, and isn't afraid to lower his shoulder into defenders. In addition to his physicality, Richey plays with a ton of speed and elusiveness that allow him to easily maneuver around the field and make defenders miss. It was easy to see these skills show up last Friday- Richey ended the game with 15 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and an additional 2 receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown in the air as well. It's been really exciting watching Richey play as well as he has in year two- be sure to watch him play down the stretch of this season- he's a talented prospect that has already put together a bunch of great tape!

[player_tooltip player_id='1514872' first='Stuart' last='Andrews'] is a talented junior running back out of Mountain Brook who is coming off one of the best performances of his career this last week. Last week, Andrews came up huge for his offense on the ground, wearing down Homewood's defense in a close 27-22 win over Homewood. Andrews is a really physical back that can withstand big hits, play through contact, and make the most out of every carry he gets. Andrews also plays with great vision and instincts, he can easily take advantage of defensive fronts with how well he finds lanes and bursts through them. It was easy to see Andrews's playstyle this past week against Homewood- he ended the game with 30 carries for 211 yards and one touchdown, with one reception for 8 yards. Andrews has played really well for Mountain Brook this season, as a junior he has helped transform their rushing attack into one of the top units in the state. Watch out for Andrews going forward, he's got a ton left in the tank this season and is bound to make more plays!

[player_tooltip player_id='1514874' first='Jabari' last='Davis'] is a talented senior running back out of Sparkman who has been a really effective and efficient ball carrier for his team's offense this season. Last week against Mae Jemison, David was a huge reason for his team's 31-7 win- he consistently found ways to get into the endzone and was a problem for Mae Jemison's defense all night long. Davis plays with a lot of quickness and physicality- he can make sharp cuts, has great speed, and always finds a way to get upfield for positive yardage. As a ball carrier, he runs hard and does a great job protecting the football and playing through contact- defenses struggle to tackle him with how aggressive of a runner he is. Davis put this all on display last week against Mae Jemison- he ended the game with 19 carries for 89 yards and 3 touchdowns. Watch out for Davis as the season continues, he's having a terrific senior season and is an exciting player to watch on a team that could make a serious postseason run.

We saw a ton of high-powered offenses go to work last week and today we are checking out some of the top rushing performances! Be sure to watch out for these guys, they're playing at a high level this season.
