As the 2024 regular season starts to wind down this is the start of a series where I will take a look at players that I expect to catch recruiting fire. We're at a point we're almost all players should have at least a half a season's worth of game film put down. Aside from grades and character traits and good film or everything when it comes to the recruiting game.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1526768' first='Collin' last='Boff'] (Harvest Prep) 6'3 210- Boff is starting quarterback for a talented Warriors team at 6-1 on the season with its only loss coming to one of the best teams in the state in Sandusky Perkins. Folks there's no other way to say it, Colin has a big-time quarterback prospect. At 6'3 210 he has a live arm that creates lots of easy velocity. His throwing motion is both compact and rapid. Boff has a solid grasp of the offense, and you can already see him going through his passing progressions. He's good at feeling pressure and maneuvering in the pocket as necessary. He's calm and capable of making adjustments in the face of a rush. He's able to deliver the ball using different arm slots while delivering strikes. He throws with anticipation. Watching his film it's pretty clear that he's comfortable incapable of making any throw. I expect Collin to begin to get big time. P4 attention very soon.

2027 DB [player_tooltip player_id='633626' first='Ziere' last='Alston'] (Centerville) 6'0 180- after transferring to Centerville this off-season Alston has adjusted to his new school and scheme and is making big-time plays on the backend of the Elks defense. The versatile defender can run, hit, and cover. In the run game, he plays downhill and sheds extremely well to make plays. As a cover man, he has the speed and athleticism to cover anywhere from the running back to tight end to wide receiver. At the college level, I like him most at the strong safety position where he will be able to utilize all of his traits as well as get home as a blitzer. I'd be very surprised if Ziere didn't start getting P4 interest if not offers this off-season. I like him in a defensive scheme where he can be moved around and utilized in many fashions, forcing the offense to always know where he's at.

2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1526785' first='Eli' last='Beal'] (St. Francis Desales) 5'11 170- Beal is an explosive and versatile running back for the Knights. He is an effective runner, both between the tackles and on the perimeter. Eli shows great vision and is decisive in choosing his running lanes. He's a patient runner, but when he hits the gas, he's explosive. Eli is also an effective player in the past game, who shows good hands in the ability to make plays in space. I like him in a zone run scheme at the next level with his ability to one cut and get up field. Beal just needs to keep adding more good weight and getting stronger. He's a player I expect to start popping on D1 radars in the very near future.

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='902427' first='Jayden' last='Seay'] (Lakota East) 6'3 175- Seay is a long an athletic wide receiver for a surging Thunderhawks offense. He has fluid hips and the explosiveness to create separation on underneath routes. He also has the speed to stretch the field vertically. Jayden shows off great hands that he uses to catch away from the frame, enabling him to catch the ball in his route without slowing. He tracks the ball well and has the hops to go up and get it when necessary. He is already getting division one interest, which I expect to quickly translate into offers with his traits and strong Junior season film under his belt.

2027 EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1218013' first='Roy' last='Price'] (Newark) 6'3 200- Price is an athletic edge with size. He's twitchy in his get off. His explosiveness allows him to shoot the gap and his lateral quickness to cross the blockers face and win outside. Roy has a great motor and frequently runs plays down from the backside. He had the athleticism to dip and bend on the edge. As he continues to get stronger, he will be able to add a power element to his bag of tools that should take his game to another level. Being a sophomore he has plenty of time to continue to develop physically. Price recently earned his first offer from Miami of Ohio.

2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1148560' first='Isiah' last='Switzer'] (Glenville) 6'6 295- Isiah is a player who I've liked for a while. Frankly I'm not sure while it's taken so long for him to get traction in the recruiting game, but tide has finally turned. At 6'6 295 Switzer possesses a great frame and wears his weight well. Isiah pairs his plus size and length with an athletic skillset. In pass pro he has a good kick that gets depth quickly and uses his length well to stop a strong speed rush and has the anchor to take on power. In the run game he's moves well and plays with good leverage. He does a great job of getting to the second level and finishing his blocks. In the past couple of weeks Isiah has picked up offers from Toledo, Syracuse, and Akron. With the momentum building I would be very suprised if he didn't continue to add even more D1 and P4 offers.
