Ziere Alston Ziere Alston Ziere Alston 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Centerville | 2027 State OH is a special player for Centerville. I saw his talent from the opening kickoff, as he housed it to give Centerville the early touchdown. He also had a late touchdown from a reverse sweep and played lockdown coverage on the defensive side. Alston is an excellent athlete for both the football team and Centerville’s track and field program. Alston defensively is a physical monster, whether he is in press coverage or blitzing off the edge. He can lay the boom as a closing defender or go one-on-one vertically. Alston is a total package for all three sides of the ball, and is justified as a top 20 player in the state for the 2027 class.

Ziere made his way into our 2027 rankings as the 10th overall player and DB2.  He’s a talented defender for the Dunbar Wolverines.  He has an impressive frame for a freshman.  I like him as a versatile safety at the college level.  He has the athleticism, speed, and the ball skills to play free safety.  He has the downhill physicality to blow things up versus the run.  He’s explosive and gets home when he blitzes on passing downs.  Defensive backs who can play both safety positions are a defensive weapon for defensive coordinators, because they can be moved all over the field at any point and the opposing QB has to account for where they are and what their responsibility is on every play.  With a strong camp season, I think Alston could explode onto the D1 P4 scene.
