He snaps out of his stance, has good initial hand placement off the ball and can drive defenders into the second level with violence and finish. Hale also shows he can block in space, gets to the second level and takes good angles to scraping linebackers and is very athletic for his size. He is explosive off the ball, runs efficient routes out of the slot and is a natural pass catcher and tracks the ball well in traffic while able to knife upfield and get consistent yards after the catch. He also shows he can snag the ball out of the air with strong hands, a big catch radius and can get off press-man coverage while a high IQ route runner in space. He is a very athletic passer that can make plays with his legs to buy time and deliver the ball downfield and shows good pocket awareness and escapability under pressure. While throwing, he has a strong arm with good spin on the ball, accurate ball placement across the middle and on the outside and consistently throws his receivers open downfield while leading them away from defenders. The Sophomore is a very athletic passer that excels at throwing on the run, buying time with his feet and puts good zip on the ball at all three levels in the pocket. On tape, Perry also shows he has a snappy release and gets the ball out quick and on time, while not afraid to take what is given and can fit the ball into tight windows at all three levels of the defense, while showing pocket awareness and is tough to bring down in one on one situations. He is a true plug in the middle of the Columbia defense, and can play either mike backer or go down and put his hands in the dirt and apply pressure from the edge and has interior twitch as well. He is an explosive player in the short area, shows violent hands at the POA when getting off blocks and moves well for his size when redirecting. The Sophomore defender is truly an active pass rusher from either of the first two levels of the defense and as he grows and progresses, could find himself at the defensive line in college. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
