Under the Radar 2027s: ATH

As we enter the month of September, the 2024 high school football season is in full swing in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, we just wrapped up another round of rankings updates, finishing with the class of 2027. After covering the top players at each position in the class, I wanted to take some time to focus on some under the radar 2027 prospects who are just outside of the top five at their position. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, here are some under the radar ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.    [player_tooltip player_id='1314812' first='Cionne' last='Conn'] is a player who recently climbed into our rankings. On defense, he lines up at safety where he is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to fill the lane and get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make tackles in the open field. Through the first two games this, he has recorded four tackles. He is also reliable against the pass, showing the ability to drop into coverage and read route combinations to put himself in a position to make a play. Conn also showed some ability as a pass rusher, coming away with a half sack in his last game. Cionne has also shown the ability to make an impact on offense at receiver. Conn currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he continues to develop.     [player_tooltip player_id='1200728' first='Anderson' last='Lauffer'] is a player who has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress so far this season. Lauffer is an explosive playmaker at receiver on offense, showing the speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn catches in big gains at any given moment. Paintsville hasn't posted their week two stats but in their season opener, Lauffer caught eight passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. He also plays a key role on defense as a defensive back, finishing their first game this season with three tackles, one tackle for loss, and an interception. Anderson doesn't currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player to keep a close eye on.     [player_tooltip player_id='1200719' first='Jonah' last='Arnett'] is a player who plays a key role on both sides of the ball for Raceland. On offense, Arnett lines up at receiver where he is a very reliable target. He has great hands and has shown the speed and elusiveness to get up the field and pick up yards after the catch. Jonah is his team's leading receiver through the first two weeks, catching six passes for 69 yards so far. He also makes an impact on defense, accounting for 10 tackles, one tackle for loss, and an interception so far this season. Jonah doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch this season.     My final under the radar ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1284268' first='Connor' last='Holbrook']. Holbrook is a dynamic wide receiver on offense, showing the speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains. He is his team's leading receiver through the first two weeks, catching seven passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Connor also makes an impact on defense at outside linebacker. Through the first two games, Holbrook has 12 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Connor doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.
