2027 Rankings Update- Newly Added Wide Receivers!

We have been watching a lot of our recent new additions to our 2027 Rankings, and today we are taking a look at some of our new wide receivers! Be sure to watch these guys this fall, they're set up for big sophomore seasons!    [player_tooltip player_id='1355857' first='Cedrick' last='Simmons']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/cedrick-simmons/"></a> is an up-and-coming wide receiver prospect out of Southside that has become one of our top WRs in our 2027 Rankings. Simmons is a quick wide receiver that gains a lot of separation with his route-running. It's really impressive watching Simmons play as an underclassman- he already has a strong understanding of defenses and what he needs to do to take advantage of them. Simmons also has a great set of hands that allow him to consistently make catches regardless of where he is on the field. He can get open easily and is a constant threat to secondaries no matter what route he runs. Last fall was a great freshman season for Simmons, he already has a ton of talents and skills that don't go unnoticed by teams at the next level. Simmons just recently picked up an offer from Auburn, and with how well he's played, it definitely won't be the last he picks up. Be sure to watch out for Simmons going forward, he's already become a big-time playmaker in Southside's offense and is set up for a huge sophomore season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1242316' first='Amillion' last='Burt'] is a talented wide receiver out of Leeds that had a great first year starting last fall, and is off to a great start this year in his sophomore season. Burt plays with a ton of speed and quickness- he runs some terrific routes, gains lots of separation from defenders, and can outrun entire defenses once he's in the open field. Burt also has a reliable set of hands- he can easily haul in some tough contested passes and can consistently make catches all across the field. Burt also lines up as a defensive back and can use the same sorts of skills to make plays on the ball in coverage. Burt has some really impressive tape already as an underclassman, he displays a wide variety of skills and talent that'll continue to be huge in his development as a prospect. Be sure to watch Burt this season, he has already been making a ton of plays for Leeds this year!     [player_tooltip player_id='1360294' first='Andrew' last='Heflin'] is a talented wide receiver out of Sipsey Valley who transformed his team's passing attack last fall with how well he was able to produce. Heflin is a threat at every level of the field- he can run some terrific routes, gain separation, and make catches at the short, medium, and deep parts of the field. At 6'2 170, Heflin has great size and plays with a high level of physicality. He does a great job using his size to bully defensive backs and make catches- frequently on tape he high points/catches the ball over the top of DBs to make some really impressive plays. Heflin also has some reliable hands- he consistently is a dependable target for his quarterback and does a great job securing some tough-to-catch passes. Be sure to watch out for Heflin this fall- he's heading into a big sophomore season in Sipsey Valley's offense where he is sure to make a ton of big plays!     [player_tooltip player_id='1226347' first='Theon' last='Williams'] is a dynamic wide receiver out of Calera that can do a ton of great things for his offense. At 5'11 180, Williams plays with a ton of speed and physicality he uses to do whatever he can to help his offense perform. In the run game, Williams does a great job setting up key blocks for his teammates- it really impressed me how well he was able to drive back defensive backs and create lanes for the ball carrier on the outside. When he's lined up out wide, Williams can run some really sharp routes and make a ton of plays with his hands/feet. Williams has a great set of hands he uses to frequently haul in some huge catches and has the quickness to make defenders miss and rack up yards after the catch. Be sure to watch out for Williams this fall, he's going into a big sophomore season where he's set up to make a big impact in Calera's offense.
