As we head deeper into September, the 2024 high school football season is in full swing in the state of Kentucky! Week 3 provided several key matchups and very impressive performances. However, some players were able to stand out from the rest. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, here are my top performing ATH from Week 3 in the state of Kentucky who made an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='373790' first='Montavin' last='Quisenberry'] helped lead Boyle County to a very impressive victory over nationally-ranked powerhouse St. Edwards (OH) this past weekend. Quisenberry was electric with the ball in his hands, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away for a big play at any given moment. He finished the game with 25 carries for 141 yards and three touchdowns along with three receptions for 35 yards. Montavin also threw a touchdown pass and made an impact on defense, finishing the game with four tackles and an interception. Quisenberry is committed to West Virginia where I can see him making an immediate impact once he gets there.

After a strong freshman year, [player_tooltip player_id='262300' first='Kasen' last='Brock'] has picked up right where he left off this season. He had an impressive game as a ball carrier in Pulaski County's win over George Rogers Clark, finishing with 27 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Brock is a downhill runner who hits the hole with a sense of urgency and has the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Kasen also finished the game with three receptions for 26 yards and made an impact on defense at safety, finishing the game with six tackles, one tackle for loss, and an interception. Brock doesn't currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player who college coaches will have a close eye on over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576951' first='Amonti' last='Marshall'] is a player who jumped onto my radar with an impressive performance this past week. He played a key role as a ball carrier in Bardstown's win over Thomas Nelson, finishing with three carries for 61 yards and two touchdowns. He has explosive speed which he uses to run away from the defense along with the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Marshall also made an impact on defense at outside linebacker, finishing the game with three tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, an interception returned for a touchdown, and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. Amonti doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1517158' first='Devan' last='Maynard'] is another player who jumped onto my radar this past week. He had a very impressive game as a ball carrier in Martin County's win over Shelby Valley, running the ball 29 times for 254 yards and five touchdowns. Maynard lines up at quarterback where he is always a threat to take off as a runner. He is a physical, downhill runner who has the contact balance to break tackles without losing stride. Maynard also threw for 43 yards and came away with an interception on defense. Devan doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to continue to keep an eye on.

On offense, he is a strong runner out of the backfield, showing the ability to run straight through defenders without breaking stride. He finished this past week with 19 carries for 248 yards and five touchdowns. Tarter also had a strong game at linebacker, finishing with 11 tackles and four tackles for loss. Johnson is a dangerous deep threat, using his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease to create separation. He also played a key role on defense at safety, finishing the game with three tackles and an interception. Gavin doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and should be a player to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323015' first='Adam' last='Surrey'] is a player who is off to a strong start to their senior season. Surrey had an impressive performance at receiver in Highlands' Week 3 win over Campbell County, leading the team with four receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. He does a great job of using his speed and route running skills to create separation with ease and is dangerous in the open field after the catch. Surrey also made a big impact on defense at safety, coming away with two interceptions and returning one of them for a touchdown. Adam currently holds offers from Marshall, Mount Union, and Thomas More, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

On offense, Jones is a constant big play threat at receiver, using his speed to pose as a deep threat then showing the speed and elusiveness in the open field to make plays after the catch. He finished Friday's game with three receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Jones also ran the ball three times for 27 yards and made an impact on defense, finishing the game with 11 tackles and an interception.
