Recruiting Notebook: Top Uncommitted 2025s Talk Recruitment

Prep Redzone Illinois caught up 17 prospects ranked in the top 100 to get the latest on their recruitment!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='161508' first='Ethan' last='Plumb'] (St. Charles North – QB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Plumb is the top quarterback on the board.&nbsp; He is in communication with Indiana, Western Michigan, Louisville, UT-Martin, and Bowling Green.&nbsp; UT-Martin has extended an offer.&nbsp; Ideally, he would like to sign early and enroll in January.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='201957' first='Marcus' last='Thaxton'] (Morgan Park – QB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thaxton is one of the better signal callers in the class with a big arm and great physical tools.&nbsp; He has been getting interest from Western Illinois, Marshall, Illinois, New Mexico State, and Kent State.&nbsp; The schools that have offered are Kent State, Western Illinois, and New Mexico State.&nbsp; Looking to decide during the middle of the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='278886' first='Quinn' last='Morris'] (Naperville North – WR)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morris is an explosive threat that tells Prep Redzone the three schools he is in the most communication with at this point are Wisconsin, Indiana, and Iowa State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='831093' first='Cameron' last='Bates'] (Grayslake North – WR)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bates tells Prep Redzone Illinois that Northern Iowa, Dartmouth, North Dakota, and Colgate are the schools he is considering out of the schools that have offered.&nbsp; He will also take a game day visit to Northern Illinois along with taking an official visit to Dartmouth.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='832142' first='Tommy' last='Lamberti'] (Carmel – OL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lamberti said he has taken official visits over the summer to both Kent State and Central Michigan.&nbsp; Both schools are making him a priority.&nbsp; He is also talking to several MAC and Ivy League programs.&nbsp; Lamberti is setting up a visit with Dartmouth.&nbsp; Plans to not make any decisions until mid-season at the earliest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1292091' first='Reginald' last='Milligan'] (Kenwood – DL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Milligan is a favorite of ours with his quick twitched pass rushing off the edge.&nbsp; He tells Redzone that Illinois State, Eastern Illinois, North Dakota, Valpo, Drake, St. Thomas, and Western Illinois are the most involved at this stage.&nbsp; Illinois State has offered.&nbsp; No visits set up yet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='833295' first='Gavin' last='Tinch'] (Prairie Ridge – DL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tinch tells us that Northern Illinois has been in numerous times to see him and he has a very good relationship with Coach Gigli.&nbsp; Central Michigan and Miami (OH) are also showing interest.&nbsp; No offers right now, but he is primed to have a big senior year!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1060088' first='Jack' last='Burzynski'] (Barrington – DL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the best defensive lineman still on the board said he is in consistent contact with Wisconsin at this stage who has offered him.&nbsp; He is looking to have a big senior year to continue to see his recruitment go up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='831103' first='Charlie' last='Stec'] (Brother Rice – DL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This strong bodied defensive lineman tells Prep Redzone that he is in the most communication right now with Ohio, Montana, Marshall, Kent State, and Indiana.&nbsp; He holds offers from Marshall and Kent State.&nbsp; No visits scheduled, but he would like to decide by mid-season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='831091' first='Drake' last='Mosley'] (Belleville Althoff – LB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mosley is making the move over to Althoff from O'Fallon for his senior year.&nbsp; One of the best linebackers in the state tells us he only holds one offer from McKendree which is crazy to us with his talent.&nbsp; Expect a massive senior season!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1292062' first='Micah' last='McNair'] (Joliet West – LB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The three schools most heavily in the mix at this stage are Indiana State, Western Illinois, and Central Michigan.&nbsp; All three schools have offered.&nbsp; He will be taking an official visit to Central Michigan, but does not have a date set in stone yet.&nbsp; He would like to decide soon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='830849' first='James' last='Kingsbury'] (St. Rita – LB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kingsbury is a physical linebacker that tells us his only offer right now is Winona State.&nbsp; He is focused on the season and putting good film out there at this point.&nbsp; Would like to play in the Mountain West Conference he tells Prep Redzone.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='830847' first='Gavin' last='Wade'] (Naperville Central – LB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wade is a fundamentally sound linebacker with upside!&nbsp; He tells us that UW-Whitewater UW-Platteville, and Minnesota State Moorhead are the three schools that are involved the most right now and have offered.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='890063' first='Donovan' last='Brown'] (Brother Rice – CB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is a corner that we are huge fans of that we think schools are missing out on.&nbsp; Right now he said he is considering Valpo, North Dakota, and South Dakota State.&nbsp; He does not have any visits locked in yet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='830844' first='Ahmad' last='Grayer'] (Morgan Park – CB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grayer is an under radar corner that has a lot of upside!&nbsp; He tells us that right now he is hearing most from Old Dominion, Wyoming, and Wisconsin.&nbsp; Not dates set yet for visits.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='299479' first='Brennan' last='Saxe'] (Fremd – ATH)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saxe is a big time athlete that can impact on both sides of the ball.&nbsp; He is in the most contact with FCS schools Butler, Dartmouth, Cornell, and Columbia.&nbsp; He has talked with Northwestern.&nbsp; Looking to play at a high academic school which puts schools like MIT, University of Chicago, Washington University, and Johns Hopkins in the mix.&nbsp; Will wait until season is over before making a call.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='161367' first='James' last='Penley'] (Nazareth – ATH)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Penley is one of the top athletes in the class with his versatility on both sides of the ball. When we chatted with Penley he said he has two offers from UT-Martin and Marshall.&nbsp; Those are the two schools he is considering at this time.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
