I could see Science Hill, Jefferson Co. and Dobyns-Bennett all compete for the top spot with West Ridge being the region sleeper. I also think it will be a battle to see who becomes the region MVP. The leadership and production on defense from Necessary I feel will shine bright this Fall, earning him the top region honor.

Jefferson Co. has a chance to become region champs yet again this year behind a strong line with Moore, [player_tooltip player_id='1258053' first='Christian' last='Wilson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1295058' first='Israel' last='Hurd'] and others. Running back [player_tooltip player_id='848834' first='Skylar' last='Thomas'] is a sleeper region MVP prospect to watch. West Ridge will have the top quarterback in this region with Frazier. If he can receive help at the skill position, the Wolves could surprise. William Blount and Mo-East unfortunately look like the bottom two teams but the Govs have a talented back in Kline to lean on this year.

- - - - -

6A-Region 2

1. What sets the Rebels apart at the moment is their offensive line as it's one of the best in the state. They also have an up and coming star in quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1167467' first='Will' last='Jones'] that should be able to distribute the ball well to his talented wideouts. Bearden has seen some departures from top level talent this off-season but still have enough in the cupboard with Thompson, Ironside, [player_tooltip player_id='800785' first='Boston' last='Yeager'], [player_tooltip player_id='816053' first='Keshawn' last='Mills'], [player_tooltip player_id='800786' first='Tory' last='Beaufort'] and others to compete for the region title.

The middle of the pack should be interesting as well with Cleveland, Farragut and Bradley Central competing for the other two playoff spots. The Blue Raiders could be a sleeper team for top two, if their youthful talent comes along further this season. [player_tooltip player_id='219362' first='Isaiah' last='Davis'] is the top senior with Carroll, [player_tooltip player_id='927765' first='A.J.' last='Westfield'] and others on the come up. Farragut receivers [player_tooltip player_id='1185015' first='Robbie' last='Jacobs'] and [player_tooltip player_id='301404' first='Landon' last='Collins'] give the Admirals a potent duo that can help the Admirals offense become explosive.

- - - - -

6A-Region 3

1. Oakland

2. Riverdale

3. Rockvale

4. Blackman

5. Coffee Co.

6. Siegel

Region MVP: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='219387' first='Daune' last='Morris'] - Oakland

Off. POTY: (RB/S) [player_tooltip player_id='219397' first='Dominic' last='Taylor'] - Riverdale

Def. POTY: (LB) [player_tooltip player_id='402528' first='Caleb' last='Ellison'] - Oakland

Lineman POTY: (OL) [player_tooltip player_id='938106' first='Bo' last='Bryan'] - Rockvale

Underclassmen POTY: (S) [player_tooltip player_id='856867' first='Craig' last='Tutt'] - Oakland

Coach of the Year: Kevin Creasy - Oakland

- Until Coach Creasy walks out the door at Oakland, the Patriots will remain the team to beat in this region. They are equipped yet again to be region champs with a strong rushing attack and a salty defense that is very talented in the secondary. Their biggest competition will be Riverdale, who beefed up their roster this off-season with several talented additions. The Warriors offensive line looks like the weak point, so if they can shore that up, they could certainly challenge for the region title.

Rockvale and Blackman will battle for that third spot with me seeing the Rockets having the upper hand with Morgan and a strong offensive line, led by Bryan, [player_tooltip player_id='1291188' first='Steven' last='Nelson'] and others. The Rockets are having to replace some key starters but should have enough to get back into the playoffs. Blackman is still building their roster back but should have a more formidable team this year. [player_tooltip player_id='390644' first='Archie' last='Roseman'] and Jalen Anderson lead what could be one of the better defenses in the Mid-TN region. Coffee Co. linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='250830' first='Jayden' last='Carter'] is a player to watch that could lead this region in tackles.

- - - - -

6A-Region 4

1. Warren Co.

Region MVP: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='219347' first='Jonmikael' last='Crudup'] - Mt. Juliet

Off. POTY: (QB/LB) [player_tooltip player_id='353388' first='Blake' last='Owen'] - Cookeville

Def. POTY: (DE) [player_tooltip player_id='250859' first='Atticus' last='Fiorita'] - Mt. Juliet

Lineman POTY: (OL) [player_tooltip player_id='1240488' first='Charles' last='Pride'] - Mt. Juliet

Underclassmen POTY: (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='964976' first='Kannon' last='Burroughs'] - Green Hill

Coach of the Year: Trey Perry - Mt. Juliet

- This appears to be a three team race for the region title between Mt. Juliet, Cookeville and Green Hill. While I picked the Golden Bears to win this region, I could easily see the Cavs or Hawks end up in the top spot. What puts Mt. Juliet ahead is their veteran backfield with Crudup and senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='219402' first='Tyler' last='Travers']. Their O-line and secondary are also key areas that puts the Golden Bears out in front. They must gel because I feel Cookeville is right there on their heels. The Cavs have a solid senior class, led by Owen, [player_tooltip player_id='1201020' first='Thomas' last='Johnson'] and others along with a solid O-line, spearheaded by stud junior [player_tooltip player_id='866469' first='Austin' last='Hoane'].
Green Hill can't be slept on either. Now I don't think the Hawks are as good as they have been the last few years, I do think they are still good enough to compete for the region title as well as make a deep run in the playoffs. Tight end [player_tooltip player_id='219336' first='Aaron' last='Mattingly'] is a difference maker that many in this region won't be able to handle. Lebanon and Gallatin should be battling for that final playoff spot with an outside shot at getting into the top three. Both teams are young and building but have enough talent to make a difference in this region for the 2024 season.
