He's an impressive young safety that shows great range and natural coverage instincts. Strong measurables and length at 6'2” 170 lbs. with the short area acceleration to break on the ball and the long speed to cover deep. Shows great anticipation to quickly recognize routes and jump into the throwing lane. Smooth and controlled in his back pedal but triggers quickly to the ball. Plus ball skills to play it at the catch point and comes downhill aggressively in run support showing he can line up a guy and tackle in open space. Flashed his athleticism and fluidity in all three phases as a freshman with Saguaro last season. Projects as a safety right now where he can use his speed and change of direction to cover over the top or close on short/intermediate routes. He's a tough and physical tackler that drives through contact and brings good thump at the POA. Sees the field well and can diagnose plays quickly to either fill a running lane or drop into coverage. Strong in the weight room that translates well to the football field, he's able to overpower and move opponents. Flashes good balance and footwork staying inside his framework and driving through initial contact. Possesses a strong anchor to plug a gap or sit down to absorb an oncoming rush. Does a good job shedding blockers and freeing himself up to make a tackle from his DT position. A three-sport athlete that wrestles and started on varsity in both football and baseball. He's long and is just scratching the surface of his ability and potential. Has great size and length in his frame at 6'6” 305 lbs. while holding the athleticism and movement skills to play anywhere on the OL. He's a mauler that is violent and aggressive at the POA. Can finish his blocks to the ground playing with leverage and exploding through contact. Plus mobility and initial quickness out of his stance to gain early positional leverage. Possesses strong and quick hands going from the snap to engagement. Starting in all 10 games as a freshmen, he flashed natural playmaking ability and strength after the catch. At 6'2” 190 lbs. he's a tough cover for opposing DB's with his length, ball skills, and body control. He's got a large catch radius and good leaping ability to compete at the high point and shows quick hands to snatch the ball out of the air. After the catch, he runs hard and is able to lower his shoulder to run over secondary defenders. Great upside that could breakout and land him heavy recruiting attention.</p>
