[player_tooltip player_id='1344919' first='Shannon' last='Noel'] has been a standout defender on Saks' defense the last few seasons, he brings a lot to the table at the linebacker position and is bound to have a big year this fall. With his level of instincts and athleticism, Noel is a really well-rounded linebacker. He has a great feel for the game and can blitz the quarterback, stop the run, and play against the pass very well- making him a threat to opposing offenses every down. It's especially impressive watching Noel play against the run, he does a great job filling in gaps, is a terrific tackler, and frequently makes plays down by the line of scrimmage and in the open field. It was easy to see this throughout his sophomore year as Noel had a really productive season last fall. He ended the year with 69 total tackles (16 solo, 2 for loss) and was a consistent headache for offenses to deal with. Be on the lookout for Noel this year, he showed a ton of great things on tape last fall and is set up for a big junior season!

[player_tooltip player_id='1398001' first='Caplyn' last='Reed'] has been a really talented linebacker for UMS-Wright's defense the last few seasons- he's coming off a terrific sophomore season where we saw him make play after play for his team. Reed is an incredibly reliable middle linebacker- he plays really well in coverage, is a good pass rusher, and has excellent tackling technique that lets him wrap anyone up. Reed has a lot of athleticism he uses to his advantage- he plays with a ton of speed and physicality and can make his presence felt every time he takes the field. It's seriously impressive watching Reed use his speed to make sideline-to-sideline plays, he has some terrific pursuit and doesn't give up on plays regardless of how far away he is from the action. Reed had a huge breakout season last fall that featured him totaling 135 tackles (86 solo, 8 for loss) 4.5 sacks, one interception and one forced/recovered fumble. Be sure to watch Reed this fall, he was fantastic last year and is set up for a big junior season in UMS Wright's defense!

[player_tooltip player_id='1322028' first='Brennan' last='Core'] is a hard-hitting linebacker out of Central (Phenix City) that is set for a big season this fall. Core has a terrific understanding of opposing offenses and what they're trying to do. It's extremely impressive watching how quickly Core reads and reacts to plays- he isn't easily baited and constantly finds himself around the ball delivering hits or opening opportunities up for his teammates to make plays. Core is a really reliable tackler who uses his strength and technique to level out opposing pass catchers/ball carriers all around the field. He does a great job playing against the run but has a surprisingly good ability to make plays in coverage- on tape he causes a lot of trouble for pass catchers when he's playing zone. Core made a ton of plays last season- he ended the year with 41 total tackles (27 solo, 2 for loss) one interception, and one forced fumble. Be sure to watch out for Core this fall, Central's defense is set to be one of the top units in the state and Core is bound to make a ton of big plays!

[player_tooltip player_id='1184990' first='Romeo' last='Washington'] has been a huge piece of Bob Jones defense, especially last fall- he had a breakout season filled with tons of big plays and is now primed for a big junior year this fall. Washington is a tackling machine that plays extremely well against the run. He constantly fights off blocks and works his way through offensive linemen to get to the ball carrier and make plays. Frequently on tape, Washington does a terrific job tracking, pursuing, and taking down the ball carrier. It doesn't matter where he lines up pre-snap, Washington will find a way to get either himself or his teammates involved on the play. Washington is coming off his best season yet for Bob Jones, he ended the year with 70 total tackles (54 solo, 3 for loss) one sack, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Be sure to watch out for Washington this fall, he was incredibly fun to watch last season and is bound to have a big year for Bob Jones' defense this year!
