He can lineup at any LB position and dominate. In the running game he has great vision and is able to read his keys quickly getting into the backfield to make a stop. He plays fast and is a hard hitter, being able to dislodge the football at times. In the passing game he has the speed to cover the faster TE/RB/Slot guys and can break up passes. He is a smart QB that limits turnovers but still takes shots downfield getting those explosive plays. He has the ability to fit it into tight windows and excels at the intermediate to deep passes. He can make every throw on the field and has great timing with his receivers. When the pocket breaks down he has the ability to escape and use his legs to pick up yards as well. With his size and quickness he is able to use his speed to get into the backfield and cause chaos. He is a good open field tackler and is able to bring the ball carrier down quickly. When his number is called he is able to use his hands to beat blocks and put pressure on the QB causing a hurry or bringing him down. On the defensive end he is a backer that is able to use his speed to get to the back field and bring the QB down when his number is called. He has the ability to drop back into coverage and can get out of breaks quickly, showing great hands and being able to take INTs back the other way. On offense he has the ability to hit the hole quickly and turn on the jets to outrun defenders. He has good vision and is elusive, being able to make the first defender miss. Spence was one of the standout guys on the Mile High Prep spring team and has been turning heads this summer as well. He is a great route runner that is able to create separation and shows good hands having a wide catch radius. He is a big body that shows no fear going over the middle and can still haul in the ball while taking a hit.
