PRZMI Division 3 Preseason All-State Defense

Don't sleep on Michigan's Division 3. This classification has an absolutely absurd amount of talent. From River Rouge to Detroit MLK and Walled Lake Western, there are some amazing players and amazing teams to be showcased here. So, here's our picks for the Division 3 All-State defense!   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">All-State Defense</h2>   DB - Donpaul Keith - River Rouge (SR)   DB - [player_tooltip player_id='568110' first='DiJon' last='Wilson'] - River Rouge (JR)   DB - Jaiden Windom - Detroit MLK (JR)   DB - [player_tooltip player_id='602014' first='Troy' last='Temple'] - Walled Lake Western (SR)   LB - [player_tooltip player_id='1290850' first='Seder' last='Middaugh'] - Forest Hills Central (SR)   LB - [player_tooltip player_id='591060' first='Logan' last='Doerr'] - Mason (SR)   LB - [player_tooltip player_id='899604' first='Kasin' last='Gozic'] - UofD Jesuit (SR)   LB - Shane Rachner - Walled Lake Western (SR)   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='600132' first='Xavier' last='Newsom'] - Detroit MLK (SR)   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='247640' first='Jordin' last='Farrow'] - River Rouge (SR)   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='899583' first='Korbin' last='Sulitis'] - Petoskey (SR)   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='437922' first='Willie' last='Fletcher'] - Detroit MLK (SR)   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">My Thoughts</h2>   DB - Donpaul Keith - River Rouge (SR)   Donpaul is the best DB on a team known for producing elite DBs. How much is there to say?   DB - [player_tooltip player_id='568110' first='DiJon' last='Wilson'] - River Rouge (JR)   DiJon has been consistently impressive throughout this offseason. In reality, several other Rouge DBs could have this spot on the preseason all-state team. My gut just tells me that DiJon is going to have a breakout season.   DB - Jaiden Windom - Detroit MLK (JR)   One of the most reactive and physical Safetys you'll see at the high school level. He's got a few D1 offers, but I fully expect several more to come his way. On top of that, Jaiden is a USA Boxing Champion and a true athlete on all accounts. I really look forward to seeing what Jaiden can do on the gridiron and boxing ring in the coming years.   DB - [player_tooltip player_id='602014' first='Troy' last='Temple'] - Walled Lake Western (SR)   Including Troy was a no-brainer for me. I'm honestly shocked he's only been receiving attention from GLIAC programs. The GLIAC has some excellent football, but I believe Troy is a D1 guy. Just watch his film and see how reactive and fearless Troy is.   LB - [player_tooltip player_id='1290850' first='Seder' last='Middaugh'] - Forest Hills Central (SR)   I'm expecting a big season from Seder. FHC has lost a ton of talent in the 2024 class, and some players need to step up. Sedar should be one of those players.   LB - [player_tooltip player_id='591060' first='Logan' last='Doerr'] - Mason (SR)   Logan has been an excellent high school football player for a long time. Last season, he was a key piece in Mason's State Championship run. Mason is another team that loses a ton of talent due to graduation, and I fully expect Logan to step up and have a career season.   LB - [player_tooltip player_id='899604' first='Kasin' last='Gozic'] - UofD Jesuit (SR)   During 2023, Kasin was solid. Posting 76 tackles and 9TFLs is impressive, but I know Kasin has a lot more in him. With small improvements with aggression and IQ, he has a great chance at an All-State season.   LB - Shane Rachner - Walled Lake Western (SR)   I was formerly unfamiliar with Shane. After watching his film and looking at his Twitter, I'm sold. I really like Shane's reactivity and overall aggression. That, plus knowing how well Walled Lake Western develops players, I fully expect Shane to have an all-state season.   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='600132' first='Xavier' last='Newsom'] - Detroit MLK (SR)   An absolute monster on the defensive line. A cant-miss prospect and a shoo-in for all-state. Xavier has a chance to play on Sunday's if he does the right things in college.   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='247640' first='Jordin' last='Farrow'] - River Rouge (SR)   I've seen Jordin several times this offseason. Time and time again, he proves why he's one of the best defensive linemen in Michigan. His explosiveness alongside fundamental prowess and pass rush ability is simply unmatched. If Jordin doesn't earn all-state, I'd be shocked.   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='899583' first='Korbin' last='Sulitis'] - Petoskey (SR)   Rumor has it that Korbin will be a multi-positional player this coming season. No matter what he plays, he's got a shot at earning all-state. In the past, I've been extremely impressed with Korbin's abilities as a defensive lineman. I think he has college potential at that position, and I'm very excited to see how he fares this season.   DL - [player_tooltip player_id='437922' first='Willie' last='Fletcher'] - Detroit MLK (SR)   Willie is another one of those freaks of nature. Possessing several D1 offers, he's arguably the best defensive lineman in Michigan. Another prospect that I'd be shocked if he didn't earn an all-state nod.
