He played exactly how I thought he’d play. Just like on tape, Troy plays with a ton of aggression. Against the run, Troy works downhill and tackles effectively. Against passes, especially those outside the hashes, Troy does an excellent job of getting home and delivering a big hit.
The only big issue with Troy is his size. He’s tall, but very slim without much muscle mass. With better size, I’m supremely confident Troy would be a better Division 1 prospect. Troy has an excellent opportunity to develop into a star in the GLIAC or MAC.

Troy moves up nearly 100 spots in this update. I don’t just like his highlights; I LOVE his highlights. Troy is one of the most explosive, rangiest safeties I’ve ever watched. Defending the pass, Troy is able to quickly explode toward the thrown football and oftentimes break up a pass that would’ve been completed if anyone else was at safety. Troy’s run support is also phenomenal. Defending the run, Troy isn’t afraid to accelerate to the ballcarrier and deliver punishment. Troy is currently a high-tier GLIAC prospect, but I honestly think he deserves MAC offers.

Troy has quickly become one of the most highly-touted GLIAC prospects out there. Primarily a safety, Troy showed significant growth during the 2023 season. I was actually able to watch Troy during Week 1, and he made several great plays. I was right on the sideline when I watched Troy react extremely quickly to blow up a screen. Later in the game, he almost converted a few interceptions via extremely quick reaction time.
The rest of the season told the same story. Troy is an extremely impressive all-around safety. Against the run and screens, he plays like a dominant linebacker. Against the pass, he’s a zone hawk who can cover a ton of ground extremely quickly. Troy is a borderline D1 prospect and I truly hope he receives more opportunities soon.
