ABERDEEN, SD-- Camp standouts are rolling out from the Northern State prospect camp, as we unleash the first ten that popped out in Aberdeen. This entire list has plenty of under the radar 2025 prospects and ones that certainly have the athletic skillsets to boost your roster on Saturdays.

Braylon is a linebacker in person that has grown significantly this summer with his dexterity from seeing him across multiple camps across the Dakotas. He popped out further during Indy drills and 1v1s, with his sudden burst that trended to his top speed quickly and also was a linebacker that you could just visualize the work ethic this young man has in his arsenal. Braylon in my eyes is quite under the radar this deep into summer but at the same time, has had a productive summer as far as us getting a live-evaluation on him which certainly will help get a further grasp on him going into fall.

Dean is a defensive end that I have seen grow a bunch from the last 6-9 months, and it was good to get our live-eval in person in Aberdeen. Dean showed off excellent footwork from the start of camp to finish as this young man showed there is some upside to see at the linebacker position at the next-level. Fiery first step off the ball that was quickly shown off at the Northern State prospect camp. I felt with coaching from the Northern staff, Dean was able to develop smoother attention to detail with his position angles downhill which seemed to have a better path to the ball by near finish of camp. With three NSIC offers, I will be intrigued who wins the NSIC battle for Dean in the coming months I am sure.

A new name coming out of the 11A back to back state champions that caught my eyes was Dell Rapids 2025 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1333799' first='Devin' last='Lodmell']. Devin showed off significantly rangy change of direction for his size and was one of the top prospects in amongst the skill positions with his high vertical he showed off to us. Devin is still light on the tape but that elusive athleticism we caught in Aberdeen strikes a chord with what is seen with his light tape going into his junior season. He has all the athletic numbers to be a 2026 to know amongst scholarship level programs in the near future as Devin popped out multiple times onto my notebook on Saturday in Aberdeen.

[player_tooltip player_id='262069' first='Boden' last='Frosch'], WR, Sauk Prairie, WI 2025 Twitter

Boden was another workout warrior from the testing session at Northern State and from the reps I watched across the board from Boden, showed that this kid was very fluid with his feet. Boden posted some of the best testing numbers across the board amongst the wide receivers and is when that constantly takes the top of the secondary when you roll into his tape and uses that agile change of direction we caught at Northern State. Boden showed off great route-running in Aberdeen and it is not hard to see why the consistency in camp lines up with his tape. Although he is slightly undersized, Boden would be one outside the measurables threshold I go outside the box for in the NSIC in my eyes.

Sam Eddy, DL, Rock Springs, WY 2025 Twitter

Sam was a defensive linemen that impressed me with how balanced his feet appeared to be despite his outstanding size he had at his disposal. He has excellent length for the defensive end position and I love the upside he has as his hands continue to develop more skillsets outside of his hammer down bullrush he plays with an outstanding motor. Sam also showed off swift vision at the Northern State prospect camp and could get into plugging the A-gap quickly with his gifted football IQ he has. The NSIC is starting to catch waves of this Wyoming prospect, and I love to see that as Sam has been a grind of a camp schedule summer this summer that is seeing his work ethic pay off.

Ryder Michalek, WR, WWSSC, SD 2025 Twitter

Ryder is a wide receiver that has been a stockriser in my eyes from spring into summer. I felt Ryder has gotten faster from spring into summer with his speed with his routes and I saw more explosiveness off the top of his routes to create quicker separation as he has developed outside of just a long armed possession receiver than what we saw during the 7v7 season. Ryder has shown time and time again that he is fully capable of bringing in the high traffic catches as a WR prospect that just picked up offer one last weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='321179' first='Dawson' last='Bauer'], WR, Sioux Falls O'Gorman, SD 2025 Twitter

Dawson was by far the swiftest 2025 wide receiver in attendance across the board showing off elusive change of direction in his pro agility and sudden burst in the 10-yard sprint. Dawson showed off some of the quickest eyes to quarterback that I saw in the wide receiver group as I can't say that I am surprised due to Dawson's sound presence he has in the open field especially on intermediate routes. He also has grown a ton of instinct this summer with getting his hands is a smoother position to line up for a catch on the go. He is a little more under the radar than I would have figured this late in July, but certainly is one that with a big first few games of his senior season could get more NSIC attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='1214993' first='Sean' last='Ryan'], RB, New Berlin West, WI 2025 Twitter

By far my favorite running back at the Northern State camp was New Berlin West (WI) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1214993' first='Sean' last='Ryan']. His elusive footwork was second to none in the RB group in Aberdeen as this young man showed off a ton of splash reps that could turn nothing for yards into something real quick. One of the most dominant testers amongst the skill positions too, Sean was very productive with his change of direction around the edges using his speed and and agility to his full advantage against the linebackers and defensive backs in the horse drill. With two offers on the table from the Division I FCS level and the NSIC, this is another hidden gem that is a prospect I would have offered yesterday if I was recruiting the NSIC as his elusiveness has some game changing capabilities.

Kvaughn Landers, DB, Blaine, MN 2025 Twitter

If I had to dish out an MVP for the defensive back group from the Northern State prospect camp, Blaine 2025 Kvaughn Landers would have certainly gotten my vote in Aberdeen. He showed off very intriguing explosion with his broad jump. He eclipsed with great vision and pull off hands in the Horse drill I watched which not only passed the eye test with his timing, but that explosiveness we witnessed earlier in camp came thru with all the physicality he offers slowing down the run. He also had great eye discipline throughout all the reps I watched showing off a defensive back that constantly in the passing lanes with his ball-tracking ability. Kvaughn certainly shows off a cornerback sleeper in Minnesota's 2025 class that is well deserving of more on his upcoming recruiting trail.

[player_tooltip player_id='800484' first='Luke' last='Koepsell'], TE, Howard, SD 2025 Twitter

This 2025 class of tight ends in South Dakota has certainly struck a chord with me this summer, which was certainly the case with Howard (SD) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='800484' first='Luke' last='Koepsell'] who I feel put together one of the best camp performances amongst the TE group of 2025s this summer at the Northern State prospect camp. The nearly 6'4 220 pound frame came in to the Aberdeen as advertised, as he used it to his advantage in pass blocking where he found outstanding driving leverage and pad-level during the reps I watched. Luke was certainly locked in as a pass-catcher too, showing off great hands and instinct when he got upfield in his reps. Absolutely love this young man's character too, which is becoming a trend with this group of 2025 tight ends. Luke has been a TE name of note around the NSIC, and one that I cannot wait to find out where he ends up in the end, as a small-town TE prospect with a outstanding work ethic too.
