One of the many on this list to play both ways, [player_tooltip player_id='884199' first='Maxwell' last='Sprott'] has really impressive size and speed for a prospect heading into his sophomore year. On the offensive end, he's shown very nice hands and in particular, hand strength. This allows him to make difficult catches in traffic while still having the speed to get behind the defense. When he's out there on defense, Sprott's athleticism really takes over. He has the speed to stick with the fast receivers, and at 5'11" and 160 lbs he's still able to be physical when lined up against bigger wideouts. Coming off a freshman year where he averaged 17.5 yards per reception, Sprott has shown he can swing the momentum of a game on any given snap.

A two-sport athlete, playing varsity basketball as a freshman as well, [player_tooltip player_id='1190648' first='Isaac' last='Massey'] is an electrifying receiver for ALA Gilbert North. With a quick twitch and some crisp route running, he often finds himself with a decent amount of separation. Even if he doesn't, he's shown that he can make the tough catches too. That's where the real fun begins. Massey is incredibly dangerous once he gets the ball in his hands with his speed and agility. He has a plethora of moves to make players miss and is a constant threat to score. Likely taking on a much bigger role this year with some key departures from that receiver room, he's a player coaches should be watching this season.

Desert Edge's outpour of Division 1 athletes isn't going to stop anytime soon with '27 receiver [player_tooltip player_id='549596' first='Zerek' last='Sidney'] already having 7 D1 offers – most recently from ASU. After throwing on his tape, it's easy to see why. Not only is he incredibly football smart, seemingly always indoing the right thing if a play starts to break down, but he's also such a smooth route runner that his separation looks effortless. Adding onto that his secure hands and incredible athleticism, Sidney is going to be a force to be reckoned with on the DE offense this year. As he prepares to get a lot more reps this year, he's already turning the heads of coaches before the season even begins.

For a defensive back, [player_tooltip player_id='1190654' first='Cameron' last='Pope'] makes a ton of plays around the line of scrimmage. At 6'2" and 180 lbs he has no problem holding his own when a bigger receiver steps up to the line, while still possessing the speed to keep up with the smaller ones. When Pope goes out for a pass, you see more of that toughness and strength with his abilities after the catch. Rarely ever going down on the first tackle attempt, he can provide a spark for his offense when they need one. Going into his sophomore season, Pope will undoubtedly make a real impact on the Crismon defense and has the chance to be a real game changer on both sides of the ball.

Standing at 6'2" and 170 lbs, [player_tooltip player_id='884769' first='Keegan' last='McCarthy'] is a ball of athleticism. A real threat both on offense and defense his speed and physicality show up in every part of his game. He has excellent speed as a receiver and can pull away if he gets the opening, but he isn't at all afraid to lower his shoulder if he needs to. He runs decent routes and does a great job of using leverage to help give him space. On the defensive end, he's got some great instincts that seemingly always have him around the football. Physical enough to help in the run game, he does a nice job of reading the quarterback in coverage which can make it seem like he's in two places at once. As he gets to see more of a role on varsity in his sophomore season, McCarthy is a player to watch closely in 2024.
