Melvin Spicer is a true dual-threat quarterback. Looking to step into the QB1 role at Bishop Gorman, he's a constant threat to score both through the air and on the ground. His lightning-quick feet get him up to speed so fast that defenders are rarely able to get a good grip on him. The burst he possesses allows him to really gash defenses on read options and puts the opposing edge rusher in an impossible situation. When he drops back to pass, he can occasionally get caught backpedaling in his dropback and then has to rely on his quick feet to get into position in order to rip the ball to his receiver. With that being said, he has a naturally powerful arm and can seemingly put the ball exactly where he wants it. With his incredible athleticism, and some attention to detail with his footwork, Spicer could really take his game to the next level in his final high school season.

Another quarterback on the list with a naturally powerful arm, [player_tooltip player_id='820676' first='Aiden' last='Krause'] averaged over 206 yards per game last season. He was faced with some unfortunate luck at times throughout the season and ended up with 12 interceptions; but that doesn't accurately reflect his playstyle, which usually does a good job of keeping the ball out of harm's way. Krause's athleticism allows him to really work the pocket and avoid the first pass rusher to break free, keeping the play alive. His quick release and willingness to test the tight windows show you just how confident he is in his ball placement and accuracy. As he gears up for his senior season, Krause is a player coaches should be watching closely.

[player_tooltip player_id='820605' first='Elijah' last='Espinoza'] has some impeccable form for Liberty. With a fast release that lets go of a nice-looking and very catchable ball, both his lower and upper half move in harmony. What truly stood out most about watching Espinoza's film was his willingness to stand in there and take a big hit while still making sure to deliver an accurate ball. Not the most athletic quarterback, he knows he's not always going to be able to escape the rush, but he can beat it by getting rid of the ball fast enough. In order to consistently do that throughout an entire season, Espinoza is going to have to be a mentally and physically tough quarterback. A player with his combination of grit and brains is a player coaches should be putting on their big boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112315' first='Daylin' last='James'] is an electrifying quarterback out of Mater Academy East. It's rare that a player who finished last season with one singular rushing yard would be feared for what he can do with his feet, but James is. His athleticism shines behind the line of scrimmage more than anything, and his offensive system takes full advantage of that. Frequently having him on the run, James' arm strength really shows when he launches cross-body deep balls over the top of the defense. The different arm angles that he can naturally release from give him a great advantage when he's moving around. Coming off a junior year where he finished with a 105.2 quarterback rating, James is a player you don't want to miss in 2024.

At 6'3" and 215 lbs, [player_tooltip player_id='1325728' first='Ben' last='Parker'] is a big-body quarterback who can really run with the rock. Finding his way across the goal line three times on the ground, it takes more than one defender to bring him down once he gets a full head of steam. When he stays in the pocket, you can clearly tell that Parker knows how to work through progressions and does a nice job of ensuring he doesn't get too locked onto one target. He has a tendency to drop his elbow slightly when releasing which could become an issue against the bigger defensive linemen at the next level, but it hasn't seemed to hinder him at all thus far. As he works into his final high school football season, Parker has a chance to really turn some heads at Green Valley.

Completing over 63% of his passes while managing to still average more than 16 yards per attempt, [player_tooltip player_id='1112319' first='Crew' last='Dannels'] is an incredibly efficient quarterback. Left-handed quarterbacks can often have a delivery that doesn't quite look right, but that's not the case here. Dannels has a very smooth release and the ball seems to just fly effortlessly off his hand. His touch on deep balls was something that really stood out to me when watching his tape. Not only is he able to launch the ball to any part of the field that he wants to, but he can do so in a way that keeps the ball out of harm's way and leads his receivers as well. Throwing 22 touchdowns to just four interceptions in his junior year, Dannels is a player who has all the tools to make an impact at the next level.
