A few weeks back we ranked Oregon's top 6A/5A teams in an early preseason breakdown. Here we will incorporate Washington and rank the NW's top teams regardless of classification. There will be numerous updates and a more extensive preview put together talking on each of the teams Indvidual athletes as the season draws near.

11.Eastlake WA

The Wolves were impressive last year, finishing at 11-2. There only two losses were to state champion Lake Stevens by a TD and to Graham Kapowsin 27-24 in the 4A semifinals. The key this year will be the play of QB/WR tandem [player_tooltip player_id='348144' first='Landon' last='Renfroe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1136335' first='Bryson' last='Hodges'], along with 1st team all conference returner [player_tooltip player_id='945876' first='Jack' last='Beardall'] up front.

12.Graham Kapowsin WA

GK loses some legit talent but seems to always reload. Making up for QB Daveon Superales and a pair of D1 WR's in [player_tooltip player_id='1194714' first='Malachi' last=''] Durant & Jabez Woods will be tough. One of nation's top TE's [player_tooltip player_id='693678' first='Noah' last='Flores'] will be called upon to lead along with 3* WR standout [player_tooltip player_id='348141' first='Khristian' last='Norris'].

13.Yelm WA

Speaking of graduating a lot of talent, Yelm loses a special group from the past two seasons which combined to go 27-1 with a state title. That said as it's one of the top programs anywhere in the West with an elite fan base. They will still do well with some big boys on the line returning along with elite 2027 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='928074' first='Maurice' last='Williams'].

14.Mountainside OR

One of the most intriguing teams in the entire region. The Mavericks feature a special 2026 class which will be favored to win the Metro League title for the first time in their existence. [player_tooltip player_id='1094961' first='Jordan' last='Hicks'] returns after rushing for 1300+ yards and 16 TDs. 6-4 200 pound all everything athlete [player_tooltip player_id='457009' first='Sam' last='Vyhlidal'] and maybe the NW's fastest rising prospect in QB [player_tooltip player_id='1232699' first='Cade' last='Mitchell'] will also be featured. Each of them are incoming juniors.

15.Lakeridge OR

On paper there are few teams in the entire NW which are better. The LB group led by 1st team all-state Sherwood transfer [player_tooltip player_id='766200' first='Treyson' last='Eddleman'] and 6-4 215-pound OLB standout [player_tooltip player_id='754631' first='Kayce' last='Tinner'] will be key. Their secondary is equally loaded with the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='406755' first='Zyon' last='Floyd'] and [player_tooltip player_id='402418' first='Marcus' last='Post'] returning. The biggest question here will be inexperience at the QB position, and how 4* UW commit [player_tooltip player_id='284119' first='Ansu' last='Sanoe'] plays after rushing 600+ yards and 8 TDs last year.

16.Kamiakin WA

Traditionally one of the top programs in Washington. They will return 4A Defensive POY [player_tooltip player_id='693687' first='David' last='Kuku'] and QB [player_tooltip player_id='1476187' first='Trent' last='Woodhouse']. The conference is a toss up with Chiawana, Richland, and Kennewick all having similar talent.

17.Gonzaga Prep WA

Look for the Bullpups to have a big year behind 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1165376' first='Jonah' last='Keller'] who ran wild as a sophomore and was the only player in the conference to earn 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the football. Incoming Jr. WR [player_tooltip player_id='1165359' first='Isaiah' last='Docken'] also looks like the real deal.

18.Lincoln WA

Sione Kahoe could end up ranked among the top QB's in the country for the 2027 class. They lost a few close games early in the year to Tualatin, OR and Camas. Traditionally the Abes are a 3A title contender and they should once again be in the mix.

19.Jesuit OR

Always one of Oregon's top programs. This will be an interesting year for the Crusaders, losing multiple D1 guys and Metro League Offensive and Defensive POY Lonnie Burt. That said as QB [player_tooltip player_id='238435' first='Treynor' last='Cleeland'] has added a few division 1 offers and will need to step up.

20.Skyline WA

I would expect a big year out of the Spartans. RB [player_tooltip player_id='1136323' first='Josh' last='Menold'] went for 1700+ yards last season with standout WR's [player_tooltip player_id='693696' first='Cameron' last='Weir'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1165348' first='Luke' last='Morgan'] both returning. They will compete for a conference title.

21.Curtis WA

Curtis returns multiple D1 offered athletes with the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='693683' first='Xavier' last='Ahrens'], [player_tooltip player_id='693728' first='Jayden' last='Rice-Claiborne'], and [player_tooltip player_id='693721' first='Parker' last='Mady'] all ranked among Washington's best. The big question is how do you make up for all everything MVP QB Rocco Koch, who was literally a one-man wrecking crew.

22.Tualatin OR

BYU QB Commit [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] is the real deal, but he loses a D1 perimeter and a host of other talented athletes from last year's team. The T-Wolves have been a consistent 6A title contender but have some work to do this season.

23.Richland WA

The Bombers lost three close ball games to conference foes Chiawana, Kamiakin, and Kennewick last season. They bring back two of Washington's top WR's in [player_tooltip player_id='1136319' first='Colson' last='Mackey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='726175' first='Brody' last='Bocek'] and should compete for the conference title.

24.Kennewick WA

Another team which is consistently ranked towards the top of the charts. They finished 10-2 last season with a tough 17-7 loss to 3A state power Eastside Catholic in the playoffs.

25.Anacortes WA

[player_tooltip player_id='693730' first='Brady' last='Beaner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='205682' first='Brock' last='Beaner'] are back. Enough said after last years (13-0) 2A state title run.
