Enjoy!

In the month of June, we're updating all of our prospect rankings on Prep Redzone Oklahoma. We've seen a ton of football this offseason from the 7v7 circuit to camps to most recently with team camps. We kicked off our month of ranking updates last week with a look at the 2027 class as they head into their sophomore seasons this fall. Last week, it was time to look at the 2026 class. On Monday, our 2025 rankings were updated to include the Top 200 players in the upcoming senior class. You can check out the updated rankings right here. In this post, we're putting the spotlight on the running back position. This is a group that has been incredibly talented from early on in their high school careers. All five feature different and unique stories and this doesn't even include the top RB prospect, who was featured earlier this week. Check out Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more ranking updates, along with all of our 2025 prospect breakdowns later this week!

Edmond Santa Fe running back [player_tooltip player_id='188013' first='Demarius' last='Robinson'] was one of the state's very best players last season. His four-week stretch where he averaged 300 yards per game and scored 17 touchdowns is still arguably the best four-game production we've seen in the last five years. Over 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns is a good season and Robinson accomplished that in a month. He's been a stud since his freshman season but he really emerged as one of Oklahoma's best last fall. Earlier this summer, Robinson announced his commitment to Arizona State. Following that outstanding junior season, Robinson saw his recruitment explode as one of the state's top prospects.

Running back [player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] moved from Bartlesville to Muskogee this offseason and as soon as he got on campus, the 1-2 punch of Wallace and Muskogee's quarterback became arguably the top backfield in the state. Wallace has been an absolute star over the last two seasons and he doesn't get enough attention for his ability to run hard and he's just as likely to run over defenders as he is to run by them. With Wallace joining the reigning 6A-2 state champs, he's hoping to play at a level that gets him noticed by coaches this fall. Wallace should be able to put up some monster numbers in the Muskogee offense and we're looking forward to seeing the impact he has.

Lawton Eisenhower running back [player_tooltip player_id='479394' first='Rashaud' last='Hurt'] is on our short list of running backs to watch this season after he missed almost all of his junior season with a knee injury. We watched Hurt in person last spring and he looked primed for a big 2023 season before the injury would sideline him. Fast forward to this summer and Hurt is definitely going to try and make up for lost time this fall. Hurt is ready to pick up where he left off and with Lawton Eisenhower moving up to Class 6A-2, it's going to allow Hurt to perform on an even bigger platform and they could end up being a playoff team. Hurt is definitely a running back that could benefit in a major way from a big fall.

Tuttle running back Brady McAdoo has been one of our favorite versatile athletes to watch in the state's 2025 class since his freshman year. You could label McAdoo at a lot of positions with the amount of spots he's played over the last three years. But we're keeping the Tuttle standout at the running back position for now because that is where he has impressed us the most from a prospect standpoint. But there is no doubt that he is one of the better athletes in this class. He has to be near the top of his position in terms of leaping ability and we can't overlook that overall athleticism possibly leading to a position change. But for now, we're looking forward to seeing him produce in the run game.

At this time last year, running back [player_tooltip player_id='439153' first='Jordan' last='Schelling'] moved from Jenks to Union and immediately became the top running back in the Union offense. Schelling performed really well and similar to McAdoo, he had a knack for making big plays in the running game as well as making catches out of the backfield. Schelling was a breakout player during his sophomore season and elevated his game last season. Now, we're looking forward to seeing how Schelling improves his game to shoulder more of a load in year two in the Union offense. When he's healthy, Schelling is a running back that can make a ton of plays and has the ability to be a workhorse if necessary.
