We hit the X-Factor QB camp last weekend and wanted to circle back to 5 more QBs who should be ready to hit the ground running this fall. These 5 were at the camp, looked good, and check boxes that coaches at the next level are always looking for.

Frye is heading into his first year as the full-time starter. He's been prepping and learning underneath Dunn for the past few years and training with X-Factor non-stop. The raw arm talent Frye has is what's most exciting about him. He's got a good frame and the footwork will continue to get there. With the arm angles he can release the ball from, he will be a frustrating QB to go against. He's continuing to show progression in every phase of his game. He's young, incredibly talented, and should be a name you hear a ton over the next few years as he leads Brownsburg.

Bouwkamp has a physical frame that is going to give him an advantage as he develops down the road. Being able to see over the line with ease, having the muscle to withstand hits in the pocket, and the awareness in the pocket he has, he should light up defenses sooner rather than later. He's a lefty with a big arm that can uncork it down the field as well as throw a rope over the middle. Once he gets fully comfortable reading defenses and sitting in the pocket, that offense will start rolling.

The first thing I noticed about Thomas was the type of ball he throws. He's got an easy over-the-top release that doesn't typically let the ball float when he's going downfield. He can drop the ball over the shoulder as well. While I don't recall seeing his intermediate work, I did like where he's at with his hip rotation and keeping his shoulders square when rolling out. He's also a much better athlete than people would expect when first looking at him, which could add some layers to the offense. He's someone who can do some damage on the ground, and I'd like to see them utilize his full skillset moving forward.

Sloan will officially be making the move to play for IMG this fall. He told me he's transferred and will be there for his high school career. He should do well as he's got all the traits to be a successful starter at the next level. He's lengthy, has a good arm, sees the field well, doesn't panic, is a sound athlete, and can throw guys open. Getting to see him get some work in person helped show me why schools are already interested. He's got a live arm and all the traits I've mentioned, so it's natural that schools are poking their heads around early.

I really appreciated Lockhart and how he handled himself on the field. Not that anyone else was out of line, not paying attention, or causing issues, it's just Lockhart seemed to be dialed in non-stop. He was one of the more consistent guys all day long. He put the ball where it needed to be when it needed to be there. There was nothing over complicated about it. You can tell he cares a lot about his craft. He was always near the front wanting more reps and actively seeking coaching.
