Will be a debate as to whether or not [player_tooltip player_id='388098' first='Tyler' last='Merrill'] will hold the top OL spot after [player_tooltip player_id='388095' first='Kevin' last='Brown']'s SEC stamp of approval.

Couple of noteworthy happenings since we last checked in on the Cumberland Valley tackle prospect. SEC offers came in from Kentucky and Mizzou, bringing Merrill's total past 25 offers. Michigan State also threw their names into the Merrill hat recently. What's likely more important are the two visits Merrill took this Spring. On April 6th, Merrill took the trip down to South Bend to further build relationships with the Notre Dame brass. The next day, Merrill visited Ann Arbor to catch up with the UM staff who are likely doing what they can to secure his talents. The two visits mean more in the grand scheme of things, more weight held there than offers added to Merrill's laundry list of opportunities.

Checking in on all things [player_tooltip player_id='386308' first='Sy'eer' last='Coleman'] after April 1st.

Imhotep prospects, [player_tooltip player_id='386308' first='Sy'eer' last='Coleman'] included, took Spring Game visits to Ohio State and Syracuse within a two week span in April. Syracuse and OSU have ties with a ton of Imhotep prospects, good for Coleman to lay a potential foundation with programs who are actively recruiting him. Asst. HC Gabe Infante at Duke University reached out to Coleman to make sure Duke's name was in the running for the 2nd-ranked back (2026). Coach Rymiszewski extended an offer to Coleman on the same day, representing Kent State. Two FBS offers to start off May. Fast forward three weeks and Coleman ended up adding South Carolina and Maryland to his ever-growing offer sheet. With camp circuit approaching, look for many other programs to follow in the footsteps of the programs listed above.

This time last year, Malvern Prep's [player_tooltip player_id='386095' first='Preston' last='Holmes'] secured his first FBS offer out of Kent State. We are unsure if that offer still stands, as it currently sits as his only FBS offer to date.

Knowing of Holmes' skillset like I do, I imagine he's still a take for Kent State currently. 6'2, up to 190 from his previous 180 listing, 3.9 GPA, 38.6" vert, can flirt with the DB position too. Ranked as a top-five wideout in his class, Holmes recently heard back from Colgate University in the form of a scholarship offer. Surprised his makeup hasn't brought forth more interest from FCS programs. His FCS offer total is likely to climb sooner rather than later.

Roman Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='386091' first='Julian' last='Green'] continues to exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete. As consistent as you can be in terms of grades, one of the better transcripts to look at on Twitter. Said work in the classroom has paid dividends, with Green hearing back from Cornell, Princeton, Brown, Yale, UPenn, and Columbia in the form of scholarship opportunities. Since the Ivy League stamp of approval, the likes of Temple, Maine, Georgetown, and HowardU have all relayed offers to the Top100 2025 prospect. Received 1st-honors after the third marking period of the year ended, Army WP and Navy have also extended offers to Green recently. The options and roads Green can take are plentiful, this is how you blend academics and play on the field correctly, an example is set. Here's to hoping more opportunities come Julian's way with continued hard work on and off the field.

Heavy on the media camp trail, Roman Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='386284' first='Semaj' last='Beals'] has hit the road to Elite 11 regionals (State College) and previously, at UA Next's camp in New Jersey. Beals added to his offer sheet the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who have likely made the top-ranked 2026 PA QB a priority. This is the lone offer to come forth since mid-February, those not in the know would assume something's awry here. A simply answer shoots that down quickly. Many programs are likely waiting to get Beals in the door to put him under their own microscope before truly enlisting into his abilities. Not every program has had the opportunity to see him throw the football up close. Once the opportunity has been had, Beals will likely keep up with the pace set earlier in his career. Don't be fooled by what many might seem as a "slow" Spring/Summer.
