QUARTERBACKS
There were a lot of solid left-handed quarterbacks but Cloutier consistently was throwing good balls and the ball jumps out of his hand nicely.
His footwork looked solid in the individual drills and he was getting the ball out on time with the receivers.
Highlights
Nate Richie Nate Richie 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Capistrano Valley Christian | 2025 CA often gets overlooked because he plays at a small school. I was excited to see him compete with other quality quarterbacks and he blended right in.
He moves decently well for a guy who isn’t a running threat and he throws a nice ball. Richie was hitting receivers in stride in the reps I saw him take during one-on-ones. It was good to see him perform pretty well in a camp setting with highly-touted prospects.
RECEIVERS
Honore looked good at the Millikan passing tournament the day before and performed well at the Showcase despite maybe battling some fatigue.
He is fast, runs crisp routes and caught anything remotely near him. It’s easy to see why West Virginia and other schools have offered him. Honore could make an impact in Mater Dei’s receiving corps as a sophomore.
Highlights
Luque isn’t a speed demon, but he’s physical against press man coverage and has a big frame. He can overpower defenders on 50/50 balls and he can high point the ball well.
He was smooth during the gauntlet drill and won a lot of his one-on-one reps that I saw.
Highlights
There was a solid group of class of 2028 guys at the event and Anderson stood out to me as the top 2028 receiver.
Anderson did well against press man coverage despite not being as strong as a lot of the defenders. He was getting open with regularity and will only get better as he adds size. Anderson will attend Long Beach Poly this season.
