After having an extremely successful 2023 campaign, Delbarton will be looking to run it back in in 2024 with a reloaded roster. Delbarton has traditionally been a .500 record team, but 2023 was a reversal of that trend and now they are in the conversation as one of the top programs in the state. Finishing the season at 10-2 and a 14-24 loss to the top team in the state (Bergen Catholic), Delbarton is ready to repeat their success.

Delbarton played very balanced from an offense/defense perspective last season. Neither side of the ball carried the team, as the offense was able to put up sufficient points to blow some teams away, and the defense was able to shutout a few opponents along the way. However, the catch is, Delbarton is losing a few of their key players from last season. They'll need to replace their QB, RB, and a few of their top linemen on both sides of the ball. While this could prove to be a tough task, they have a few players that are experienced and ready to step up in a big way.

All defenses will have a difficult time containing Phillip, as he's often shuffled around on offense and can line up from multiple positions. What makes Phillip so scary is his quick reaction time and ability to burst from a stationary position. Delbarton finds a lot of success dumping the ball off to Phillip early and allowing him to carve up the defensive with his elusiveness.rnrnWhat's most impressive with Phillip's game is his ability to work magic with the ball in his hands. He's a strong runner that can drive his legs through arm tackles after he reels the ball in. Combining for just under 1000 offensive yards and 12 touchdowns, college's are starting to recognize what kind of talent Phillip is. With offers from Boston College, Toledo, Penn, Army, Harvard, and others, many more will be following suit once the season begins.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65411b575a0be"} /-->

He demonstrated that he can accelerate through the hole after he takes the hand off, and can also respond to pressure in the backfield with quick reflexes to avoid the tackle. All of their offseason workouts are paying off, because Troy can jam up a receiver at the line and completely toss them off of their route.
