The circuit of back-to-back-to-back weekends on the road has come to a conclusion, as I was fortunate to attend Coach Nick Pennisi's PSR BIG Camp Series on Saturday, May 11. This marks the second year in a row that I covered the event. Pennisi has grown his significantly from last year. With over 400 prospects registered for the event, I had my work cut out for me to identify and scout some of the event's standouts. As I feverishly wrote notes, here are my scouting notes from the position group disclosed in this article's title.

Scout's Notebook: Offensive Line

[player_tooltip player_id='341119' first='Caden' last='Sternlieb'] is an interesting guard prospect out of St. Thomas Aquinas. What helped Sternlieb succeed in his group all afternoon long was the natural way in which he is built. A little bit shorter and wider than most, he is an absolute plug at guard. Also a wrestler, his quick feet allow him to move laterally extremely well, seldom allowing penetration in any reps that he took..... Pope John's [player_tooltip player_id='1287381' first='William' last='Pallay'], a 2026 graduate like Sternlieb is, is a prospect who has the potential to be a good one. Pallay had good feet that allowed him to move in all directions nicely. Maybe just my preference, but I thought Pallay took too wide of kick steps. Although he often did recover in time to take away the inside, I would like to see him exhibit trust in his vertical set.

Kingsway brought up a enormous prospect in 6'5" 280lb lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1271491' first='Blake' last='Birbilis']. I was thoroughly impressed with Birbilis' ability to move his feet. For such a large man, Birbilis' feet were brisk, quick, and powerful. He powered down with urgency and kick stepped with ease and fluidity, while also gaining a tremendous amount of ground in the process..... A camp-lifer, I got another opportunity to see [player_tooltip player_id='724740' first='Harold' last='Mee'] live. The Jackson Memorial prospect has very good bend. Akin to Birbilis, Mee can move his feet very well in all directions. Something that Mee does, unique to everyone else I saw that day, was alternate his hands. When alternating between kicking and powering, Mee was conscientious to alternate his hands, coordinating them appropriately to simulate engagement.

From Holy Spirit, [player_tooltip player_id='1271495' first='Aidan' last='Kaiser'] showed up and showed out. During the kick-to-power drill, Kaiser's feet were simply the best out of everyone I watched. For a prospect listed at 6'6" he also bends very well; Kaiser maintained that level mostly throughout all the drills and reps he took. Another thing I liked about Kaiser's game was that he attacked the neutral zone and looked to claim it for the offense. Rather than stepping back and relinquishing ground to set a pocket, Kaiser stepped forward and attacked his matchup in order to maximize space as his quarterback would drop back. Lastly, on one spin Kaiser was beaten to the inside; however, appearing cool, calm, and collected, Kaiser got his hand on his opponent's hip and rode him out of the pocket..... Immaculata sent up [player_tooltip player_id='1287378' first='Michael' last='Urena']. Urena had a difficult time playing with a consistent pad level. There were instances where the 6'5" prospect did get low. During those instances the 2025 graduate shined. An offseason of stretch and flex sessions should prime him for a big campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169098' first='Joe' last='Mesko'] is a prospect that I have been eager to see in person for some time now. The Linden Tiger has all the size and ability to hang with the private school prospects, which made me as a public school advocate, fired up. At first I thought his kick step was was too wide; however, as the reps continued and I got more of a look I soon realized that Mesko lost very few matchups. Mesko overset to speed because he had full confidence in his physicality and feet to power down and stay in front of anyone and stay between them and his quarterback..... Closing out was [player_tooltip player_id='1287377' first='James' last='Aldrich'] from Donovan Catholic. As big as any other prospect competing, Aldrich absolutely worked. As he kept fighting and never gave up on any single rep he too, Aldrich's feet were never sloppy nor did they ever get twisted or uneven. Lastly, Aldrich maintained an outstanding base and great posture throughout every rep.
