The final position to cover and easily the most important in the sport (possibly all of sport), it's time to turn our attention to the top tier QBs the northeast has to offer. The QBs of NYNJ absolutely balled out at the Next Combine. There were a few quarterbacks in attendance that we will not only be hearing about these next four years, but possibly years to come. Make sure to check out the 2029-2030 QBs as well, as I thought those classes had some players that are on the brink of becoming household names.

Gavin displayed crisp throwing mechanics throughout the event. The way the ball leaves Gavin's hands looks very fluid and natural, showing how much work he's put into perfecting his craft. On top of the movement fundamentals, Gavin delivered deep passes with excellent timing, allowing his man to run underneath and keep the ball just out of range of the defender.rnrnMeasuring in at 6'1u0022 and 149lb, Gavin has excellent size as an 8th grader, and has the frame necessary to become a major threat to defenses in the future. At Delbarton, Gavin will get the opportunity to learn under upperclassmen, but don't be surprised if we hear his name called early on in his high school career. He is that talented.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-664629c23eddb"} /-->

Juan was one of the only QBs at the Next Combine to run a sub 5 second 40 yard dash. Not only did Juan display phenomenal linear speed, but he also showed off his agility and change of direction capabilities in the 5-10-5, where he had one of the top times there as well.rnrnWhile Juan may have not have been the tallest QBs at the Next Combine, he has plenty of time to add on size. And when he does, I think he will become a name that will be on plenty of team's radars.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-664629c23ee65"} /-->

During the individual drills Dominick showed off his arm talent by sequencing his throwing motion and releasing the ball with some zip behind it. He is able to get his hips into the throw, adding that extra velocity QBs sometimes need to fit the ball into tight windows.rnrnWhen it came time to go live and throw against some of the top DBs in the region, Dominick was able to place the ball where it needed to be. He showed that he can put the right amount of touch on the pass to get it over the trailing defender. What stood out the most though is Dominick's ability to find success on the move or off balanced. He can make an accurate off platform throw even when he's near a full sprint.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-664629c23eecf"} /-->

Standing at 6'1u0022 and 171lb, Zach already has the size necessary to thrive at the next level. Standing tall in the pocket, Zach will have no problem seeing over his offense line, especially with how well he moves around in the pocket. I loved seeing Zach being on his toes as he surveyed the field. His feet never stopped moving, giving him the ability to slide around the pocket and make split second decisions if needed.rnrnLastly, I think what stood out the most was Zach's pinpoint accuracy. On one of the post corners Zach hit, he showed excellent ball placement as he kept it out of reach of the defensive back. Zach will be joining a rising talent in Paul VI, where he has the potential to continue leading the program towards success. There is much to look forward to in his game.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-664629c23ef38"} /-->

If there's one attribute that stood out the most for [player_tooltip player_id='1141106' first='Jaden' last='Hill'], it was his strong arm. In the individual drills alone Jaden was able to throw the ball deep with his feet planted in the ground.rnrnJaden will be heading to Shabazz in the fall, which lost its athletic QB to the 2024 class. These two are going to cause havoc at the high school level. Playing together all their lives, they will always have that feel for how the other plays, allowing them to connect downfield. That type of chemistry could potentially set them apart from the rest of the competition.u003cbru003eu003cbru003eBryce had quite the performance at the Next Combine in Hillsborough, NJ. Not only did he measure in well (6'0u0022 and 175lb), but he showed off how explosive he can be as a runner and as a passer. Bryce had the fastest time in the 5-10-5 last Saturday (4.62 sec), and exploded for some distance in the broad jump. Bryce displayed excellent mechanics when throwing on the run. He was able to square up his shoulders and deliver the ball with precision.
