King has tremendous foot work and it helps him with his single and double moves. He has good burst and it shows up when he gets off the line of scrimmage. I love that King has the versatility to play on the outside or in the slot. King has great burst and change of direction. His speed is legit and he has the ability to get past defensive backs on vertical routes. King is an outstanding football player who can make a lot of plays with the ball in his hand.
Best Speed: Cole Novara Cole Novara 5'8" | 155 lbs | WR Dexter | 2026 State MI | Dexter | Hudl | Twitter
Novara takes the top spot for being the fastest. He is electric with the ball in his hands and has the ability to get past defensive backs in a hurry when is running go-routes. Novara’s speed also shows up on punt returns and kick returns as well. He has the ability to hit an opening and really accelerate through it. He has good change of direction and it has a good feel for when to cut to the outside and try to beat defenders to the corner. I watched Novara play in person last year and was very impressed by his play. He is a key player returning for Dexter and his speed will be a major factor in them winning games.
Best at Adjusting to The Ball: Damion King Damion King 5'7" | 150 lbs | WR De La Salle | 2026 State MI | De La Salle
This was a close call, as Cole Novara Cole Novara 5'8" | 155 lbs | WR Dexter | 2026 State MI & William Jones-Terrell William Jones-Terrell 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Chippewa Valley | 2026 State MI were right in the mix for this spot. Damion King Damion King 5'7" | 150 lbs | WR De La Salle | 2026 State MI will get my top spot just because it the most natural for him. King is a very fluid athlete who has great body control, and that plays a key part in him being able to adjust to throws with ease. In his tape, King did a great job of working back to balls that were a little under thrown as well. He also has the ability to go up and win contested catches over defenders and shows great competitive toughness overall.
Jones-Terrell is a very good blocker who not only shows a willingness to block but also the ability to sustain blocks. He is an aggressive blocker as well and does not shy away from contact. He makes a good initial pop, which is a crucial part in executing a block. Terrell is a good athlete and does a good job of winning contested catches.
Best All-Around Athlete: Braylon Burnside Braylon Burnside 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Utica Eisenhower | 2026 State MI | Utica Eisenhower | Hudl | Twitter
Burnside is a really good receiver and defensive back for Utica Eisenhower. His high level play on both sides of the ball is what earns him the top spot for Best All-Around Athlete. Utica plays him at cornerback on defense, which is a great position for him since he is very agile and can flip his hips in coverage very effectively. He has good hands and catches the ball with no problem not just at the receiver position but on defense as well when he is coming down with interceptions. I really like his game and he will have another great year in 2024.
