Stony Brook brings in a brand new coaching staff and the Seawolves have a long line of New York success stories helping prospects get a chance at the next level. This new staff comes after a couple of "down year" to what was the usual Stony Brook standard and the one theme with the new changes are how young the new staff is featuring several young position coaches and one of the youngest head coaches in division 1 football in Billy Cosh who comes after one season as the offensive coordinator at Western Michigan.

With the coaching change the recruiting turnover is always difficult with players leaving in the portal and having to flip a good portion of the roster with a preference to portal players over the few high school prospects that remain available at the time of a coaching change. These prospects below will be big additions to a Stony Brook program that has a clean slate going forward.

The Stony Brook staff will be tasked with finding the best defensive position for Regis to have success at on the field and the dominate defensive prospect could end up playing anywhere from 3-tech to standup outside linebacker all depending on how his body develops in a college weight room. Regis is an explosive powerful athlete who plays with leverage and strong hands. His dominant wrestling career at a weight class well above his playing weight showcases his natural strength. Regis is a player who if 1-2 inches taller would have been a sure FBS level player and has a chance to dominate the CAA for years to come.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-660c60e042854"} /-->

A college weight room may decide what side of the ball he plays on but Reeder has proven production and positional versatility for several years in New Yorks best high school league.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["627193"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='627193' first='Michael' last='Wheat'] is an extremely athletic athlete who played nearly every position in high school.
