has a chance to be a dominant FCS player. The Stony Brook staff will be tasked with finding the best defensive position for Regis to have success at on the field and the dominate defensive prospect could end up playing anywhere from 3-tech to standup outside linebacker all depending on how his body develops in a college weight room. Regis is an explosive powerful athlete who plays with leverage and strong hands. His dominant wrestling career at a weight class well above his playing weight showcases his natural strength. Regis is a player who if 1-2 inches taller would have been a sure FBS level player and has a chance to dominate the CAA for years to come.

It was a historic season for the sensational lineman, as he completed the clean sweep of the three major suffolk county football awards. He was named lineman of the year, defensive player of the year and the county’s overall top player as he was the first lineman to win the Hansen award in 38 years. Regis took over almost every game he played in on both sides of the football. He had 101 tackles and 11 sacks on the season. He will go down as one of the most dominant defensive players in Suffolk County history.

The top senior defensive lineman continued to show why he’s a special player. He ended his amazing high school career with a Long Island title and a very good performance in the LIC. He totaled 7 tackles, 2 TFL’s and a sack. He went to war with

in a battle of amazing lineman. Both of them had their moments throughout the championship game, Regis showed his strength could easily match up with high level lineman with prototype D1 size. He did it over the summer but we really got to see it in this South Side matchup. Regis is a big game player, and he made play after play to help his team win this game. As a defensive lineman, he is a Hansen award contender.

If East Islip wanted to slow down the prolific Westhampton offense it would start with their star

and he performed up to expectations. In Suffolk Division 3, you simply can’t have just one lineman attempt to block Regis and the Hurricanes found that out Friday night. His power and quickness off the line just bullied offensive lineman. Regis quickly found his way in the backfield and made tackles punishing Westhampton players. Regis had a key sack in the Redman victory, as well as a blocked kick. It’s evident that he is on a different level than any defensive player on Long Island.

Without a doubt the top returning defensive lineman on this list. Regis is an all around monster at 6’1 and 280 pounds. He had the best bull rush I saw at the downstate classic (full pads and contact). His speed, power and deep bag of moves makes him one of the scariest players on Long Island. He is set up to have a special season in Suffolk Division 3.

He was overall the top player in Pod 2 and it wasn’t very close. Regis was extremely dominant and I’m not sure if he actually lost more than 1 rep the entire event and he had plenty of matchups. He had the most impressive rep when he completely put an offensive lineman on his back. Regis showed his combination of power and quickness to make things look very easy. His get off was incredible and he also clocked in his top speed at 19.5 MPH.

is one of the players that I get to look back on at the end of the 2023 season and tell the world “I told you so”. One of my favorite players in this class, Regis has elite upfield burst and is easily one of the most difficult players to block in New York. Regis not only wins with elite quickness but he shows the power and strength to bulldoze offensive lineman backwards. Regis shows a high level of dominance and his football awareness if off the charts. The ability diagnose plays and react without missing a step is elite. Regis also is an elite athlete for the position where he shows quality closing speed that can track down quality athletes who have the ball. Regis has some of the most consistent tape in New York and his ability consistently dominate through every attempt offenses have to slow him down makes him a top player in New York, let alone at his position.

is one of my favorite prospects in the class of 2024. The defensive tackle has one of the most elite skillsets in New York and is a very successful multi-sport athlete after just winning the state championship in the 285lb weight class in wrestling. A lot of those same skills that led Regis to a wrestling championship are showcased on the gridiron where he possess elite explosiveness and power. Regis has the skillset to excel this offseason likley putting up positive numbers in short area explosiveness drills and dominate in 1v1 lineman drills both with and without pads. I think Regis is a candidate to get a ton of recruiting attention this offseason and generate a ton of buzz headed into the 2023 season.

is one of the most exciting lineman to watch in New York. There is not a player who has more explosiveness off the snap than Regis. Regis has incredible strength and quickness in his lower half and he has an incredible motor in the trenches. Regis’ ability to win with his initial punch and push opposing lineman back multiple yards on first contact is so impressive. Regis is also a great finisher, he not only disrupts plays and creates chaos in the backfield but he finishes plays and is a really strong physical tackler.
