On top of that, most of my time was spent talking with college coaches, trying to get a feel for the talent, and trying to obtain a roster. So, this article will be an abbreviated “impressions” piece. I do have five players that caught my eye, so I hope you enjoy my impressions of each prospect, even if it’s a bit brief.
OL | Zach Kitchen | Harper Creek | @ZacharyKitchen2
(B112)
Zach was a bright spot in the OL/DL group. He still has a lot of room to grow in terms of fundamentals, but he still won most of his reps. Where so many O-Linemen were playing off-balance, Zach kept square and won so many reps by rarely over-setting. He also had a great initial punch and did his best to stay low through the block while keeping his anchor. I wouldn’t be surprised if Zach earned himself D3 attention at the showcase.
DL | Damarian Ashley | Harper Creek | @D_Ashley_85
(84)
I have a few win notes on my sheet for Damarian. Lining up on the interior, Damarian had a better getoff and hands than most others in attendance. He also had a few moves that he’d cycle through. He kept it simple, focused on hand movement, and succeeded quite a bit in Wednesday’s camp. I especially liked his push-pull move that he showcased a few times.
DL | Blake Zamenski Blake Zamenski 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Lakeland | 2025 State MI | Lakeland | @BlakeZamenski51
(99B)
Blake is my top D-Lineman from Wednesday’s showcase. He showed a great variety of speed and power, and he was able to win with a variety of pass-rush moves. One play, Blake could win with a quick inside move, while the next play, he could club and rip on the lineman’s outside shoulder. I’m looking forward to seeing what Blake does this coming fall!
WR | Caseton Sendry Caseton Sendry 6'0" | 165 lbs | ATH Grand Blanc | 2026 State MI | Grand Blanc | @cantguardcase
(33W)
I absolutely have to see more of Caseton this offseason. At the beginning of camp, I was told to keep a close eye on Caseton heading into the summer. Knowing what I know now, I’m expecting Caseton to be a vital part of the Grand Blanc offense. In terms of my impressions, I note that Caseton had better ball tracking than most. He was able to make those over the shoulder catches that a ton of receivers really struggle with. I also note that all of the reps I watched of Caseton were deep routes (post, go, etc). I’d love to see Caseton sometime during a 7on7 or in-season, as it would help me to see him in the Grand Blanc offense.
WR | Jerell Clement Jerell Clement 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Grand Blanc | 2025 MI | Grand Blanc | @rellclement
Jerell is another Grand Blanc receiver that I’ll have an eye on heading into the summer. Just based off the eye test and doing a little research, there’s a lot to love. He’s a track guy who runs an 11.13 100M and a 22.46 200M, according to Athletic.net. Those numbers should convert to a 4.6 40-yd dash. In terms of camp performance, I note that he looked very agile during positional drills. I didn’t see him much in the one-on-one period, but I’m confident that this wasn’t the last time I’ll see Jerell this offseason.
