Braylen Rooney Braylen Rooney 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Arcadia | 2025 State AZ , QB, Arcadia ’25 (pictured)
Rooney’s stock has sky rocket after his stellar junior season, impressing a ton of college coaches and scouts in the west coast. Clearly a top 4A player here in AZ, but is also a top QB all around here in the state as well. Effortless passer with superb accuracy with the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with velocity, touch, or finesse while remaining mechanically sound in the pocket. He landed his first offer from Northern Arizona and I think he’ll see some more come knocking pretty soon.
Johann Gundermann Johann Gundermann 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Prescott | 2025 AZ , WR, Prescott ’25
I really like Gundermann out of Prescott as a kid that is prone to explode and be one of the biggest threats in the state. Elite top end speed that is some of the best in the state at any level, as he’ll be a massive mismatch with his speed alone vs any 4A DB. To continue to rave about his speed, I think he is definitely capable of playing at the FCS level as he’s still very raw in terms of talent and that speed alone should catch the eye of D1 coaches. Speedy, twitched up kid that is continuing to work creativity into his routes providing him with a huge upside.
Rocky Stallworth Rocky Stallworth 6'0" | 170 lbs | LB Yuma Catholic | 2025 State AZ , LB, Yuma Catholic ’25
Stallworth is a game wrecker on D for Yuma Catholic, as his numbers speak for themselves by racking up 163 total tackles last year in 14 games played. A fearless, fly around player with good speed and range with his 6’0″ 170lb frame and shows room to add mass without sacrificing speed and athleticism. Expecting a huge year for Stallworth this upcoming fall.
Uriah Tenette, ATH, Prescott ’25
Another Prescott kid that cracks the list given his dynamic ability to change the game from anywhere. Also one pf the top basketball players in the state, Tennette possesses big play ability with the ball in his hands as he displays excellent twitch and change of direction along with top end speed to finish big plays. Good ball skills all around as well with terrific instincts and range on D. It’s possible that Tennette ends up at QB1 for Prescott given his natural ability, which could add a dangerous dimension to that offense combined with him and Gundermann.
Chase Brown Chase Brown 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Flagstaff | 2026 State AZ , QB, Flagstaff ’26
Brown has been a productive player with a big role at Flag since his freshman season. He sizes up with a long, slender frame at 6’3″ 180lbs with much room to add mass. He comes off a pretty good sophomore season throwing for 1,705 yards and 15 TD’s, but will look to limit those turnovers here in 2024 which I believe he will given his two years of starting experience. I think Brown could potentially have his breakout year this season barring he’s continued to mature, as he’ll be an interesting kid to watch.
Jimmy Leon Jimmy Leon 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Mica Mountain | 2025 State AZ , DL, Mica Mountain ’25
Leon is a big, strong kid with a college ready frame at 6’3″ 240lbs. He translates that weight room strength to the field nicely possessing excellent functional strength and moves really well within that frame, making him a defensive game changer. Disruptive along the edges as he finished his Jr. year with 17 sacks, 72 tackles, 19 TFL’s, and a pick six and also contributed as a TE with 8 TD’s.
Darryl Coleman Darryl Coleman 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Yuma Catholic | 2025 State AZ , WR, Yuma Catholic ’25
Coleman is a very impressive player that comes off a productive junior year and looks to be the go-to guy for Yuma Catholic. Good positional IQ and spatial awareness and is willing and fearless to go across the middle and catch the ball in traffic. Clean route runner as he continues to progress at a quick rate, and could put up ridiculous numbers here this fall. Really interested to see how this kid gets to work in the upcoming months.
