Northern Highlands just produces athletes. Matthew Boydell Matthew Boydell 6’2″ | 200 lbs | ATH Northern Highlands | 2025 NJ is no exception to this rule. The outstanding two-way running back and safety is also a two sport athlete for the school, playing basketball and football. Within the last few days, Boydell announced that he received his second Division I offer from Monmouth University. The Hawks now join Bucknell as the first two schools to offer Boydell.
Delbarton’s Phillip Folmar Phillip Folmar 6’0″ | 170 lbs | WR Delbarton | 2025 State NJ had some action within the last week. In back-to-back days, Folmar announced back-to-back scholarship offers. First, continuing their airial recruiting raid on the Garden State, the US Air Force swooped in to offer Folmar. The following day, Bryant University did the same. Folmar now has 16 scholarships to choose from, as per his Twitter.
A two-sport athlete from Bergen Catholic, offensive lineman Benjamin Shue Benjamin Shue 6’2″ | 275 lbs | OL Bergen Catholic | 2025 NJ is the atypical two-sport athlete I have typically covered. A Track & Field thrower, Shue recently announced that he will be joining the University of Texas to become a thrower for the Long Horns. Congrats to Jersey’s own and good luck in the Lone Star State!
It was a busy first quarter of the year for Seton Hall’s James Dunnemann James Dunnemann 6’5″ | 235 lbs | TE Seton Hall | 2025 NJ . The physically-blessed tight end/edge player collected numerous offers from various universities across our region. Working backwards, the schools that extended offers to Dunnemann since January are: Dartmouth, Fordham, Georgetown, Lafayette, West Virginia, Cornell, UPenn, Army, and Marshall.
A prospect who has had a meteoric rise lately, West Orange’s Terrell Wilfong Terrell Wilfong 6’5″ | 180 lbs | WR West Orange | 2025 State NJ continues the Mountaineers’ recent run graduating receivers to play Division I football. In the footsteps of Makhi Green (Monmouth) and Saboor Karriem (Illinois), Wilfong is joining the “FRANchise25” and heading up to Syracuse, who recently has cleaned up recruiting the Garden State under new head coach, a Jersey Guy, Fran Brown.
