Drew has been one of the most consistent, hardest workers I’ve ever seen. Finally, his hard work is paying off with offers from Kent State and Wayne State. He truly had to prove himself athletically and on the field to get to this point. Athletically, he posted a 6.91 L-Drill, 102in Broad Jump, and 4.59 Shuttle at our Prep Redzone Camp in December. Last season’s film was by far the best film he’s put out. He exposed a few very highly-touted receivers last season, using his aggressive yet clean ball skills to break up passes. Drew also showed vast improvements in his reaction time and closing speed. He even showed some anticipation, not just reaction. It’s apparent that Drew has improved just about every aspect of his game in the past 365 days, and if he keeps up this relentless hard work, he’ll be a phenomenal D1 college football player. He’s still got one more camp season and Fall season to come, so let’s see if this MAC annention can turn into B1G 10 attention.

Irving is someone who first caught my eye during his underclassman days at Detroit Renaissance. There, he showed flashes of excellent athleticism and had an obviously high ceiling. I was extremely excited when I heard he was going to powerhouse River Rouge, where he’d be facing much better competition on a week-to-week basis. I was able to see Irving face off against Belleville and their elite offense last season, and he honestly played a few steps behind. Irving is a very athletic football player and has all the tools to be a great slot corner. He needs to become more disciplined, smarter, and I think he needs to slow down and take the game one play at a time. Regardless, he’s on this list for a reason; and that reason is that Irving could be a major breakout candidate this summer/fall.

Isaac is still someone I have a whole lot of belief in. During his sophomore season, he proved he could be a rangy, playmaking safety. This past season, he exploded onto the scene as one of the best special teamers in Michigan. Watching him at a 7on7 last summer, Isaac was a vocal signal caller on defense. Now, this coming summer and fall, I’d love to see him return to form as a playmaking Safety. I’d love to see better reactivity/anticipation while making more plays on the football when he has the opportunity to do so. I’d also fully expect Isaac to earn some offers this Summer. He’s a GLIAC guy in my book.
Dalton may be more of a linebacker, but I know he can also play safety at a super high level. He falls perfectly in line with these new-age De La Salle recruits under Dan Rohn. He’s extremely well-built, can play all 4 quarters without slowing down, and he’s fearless. On top of that, he tests very well and has the athleticism to play sideline-to-sideline as an LB. He’s a well-rounded outside linebacker with good downhill speed and aggression. He can work on his reactivity and anticipation, but that’s more of a nitpick. I’m frankly surprised that Dalton only has two Division 2 offers- he’s a fringe MAC prospect in my eyes.
Dacari found a ton of success as a two-way player last season, having a few monster games at Running Back. His game against Seaholm especially stands out, where he proved he could defend the run on defense and be an explosive playmaker outside the hashes on offense. I like his vision and athleticism as an RB, but he could improve on contact balance and general explosiveness. That said- time in the weight room would help improve his game. Dakari’s film at safety is pretty thin, but his proven athleticism indicates a high ceiling. As I said before, he’s a willing run defender, but can still improve his anticipation and reactivity in that department. Dakari is currently a GLIAC target, and with a great offseason, I could see the entire GLIAC being after him.
