The PRZ Combine will be a great opportunity for Wheeling Park offensive lineman Hunter Means Hunter Means 6’3″ | 250 lbs | OL Wheeling Park | 2025 WV to make himself known with a limited sample size of junior highlights available right now. The 6’3 250 rising senior just wrapped up a successful wrestling season where he picked up his 100th career win before his senior year. We’ll be watching Means closely as we believe he’s capable of being ranked inside of our Top 150 but need to see more from him before placing him there. His wrestling background should greatly benefit his performance in 1-on-1s at the combine, and Means could end up being a surprise top performer with a strong showing. Our question for him will just be can he prove the hunch we have about his potential and show us he deserves to be talked about among the state’s best big men in the 2025 class? If he can, Means’ ranking is sure to reflect as such in the summer update.

Ripley quarterback Tyson Pritt Tyson Pritt 6’0″ | 190 lbs | QB Ripley | 2025 WV is ready to show what he can do at the combine in a camp setting that will show off his arm talent more than he could last season. The Vikings rely heavily on their rushing attack, so Pritt’s passing opportunities were limited during his junior campaign. Can he prove that his modest stats don’t tell the full story of his abilities and prove that he has the arm talent to play quarterback at the next level? An event like this could open eyes for him and is a great opportunity for under-the-radar prospects like Pritt who just need the stage to showcase what he can really do.

A similar story for a prospect who had modest stats last season due to scheme that is ready to prove he’s capable of more is Wayne 2025 WR Kade Estep Kade Estep 6’2″ | 165 lbs | WR Wayne | 2025 WV . We believe he’s a very underrated receiver who has the combination of size and athleticism to be considered a Top 25 WR in the class. That’s where he ranks right now based on potential and upside alone, but Estep will need to prove it at the combine which he’s capable of. That leads to the question we’ll be looking for him to answer: can he prove that he has a lot more to offer than the stats he put up in 2023? Estep is putting in the work over the off-season to prove as much and will continue to do so at the combine. Keep an eye on him as a sneaky candidate for one of the top WR performers.

Chapmanville 2025 prospect Robert Cook Robert Cook 6’2″ | 185 lbs | ATH Chapmanville | 2025 WV wrapped up an Honorable Mention All-State season in 2023 and is looking to take the next step in his game heading into his senior year. He’s an intriguing prospect that we consider an ATH right now but played quarterback for the Tigers last season. Our question for Cook at the combine is should he be considered an ATH or a QB in our rankings and as a prospect? Cook is a versatile athlete who could likely play WR or DB at the next level but could prove he can also play quarterback too if he decides to work out as a QB at the combine. He’s someone we’ll be tracking his testing numbers closely to further confirm those claims of his positional versatility if he’s able to put up impressive numbers. We’ll learn a lot about Cook at the event who could be a big stock riser with a strong performance.
Mingo Central 2025 offensive lineman Rilee Hatfield Rilee Hatfield 6’2″ | 270 lbs | OL Mingo Central | 2025 WV currently rounds out our Top 30 OL ranking for the class and is looking to break into the state rankings with a strong combine performance. Our biggest question for him is what are his measurements? We liked his junior highlight tape which earned him his Top 30 OL ranking but have seen different measurements for him that will need to be confirmed. Hatfield will certainly play at the next level at some level if he chooses to, but size is ever so important to colleges, especially for linemen. The physicality and athleticism appear to be there which made us think highly of him based on film alone, so the next step will be to see how high his ceiling can be as a prospect who could be a D2 or D3 candidate. A very strong combine performance could throw size out the window if his talent more than makes up for it which we have seen in prior instances in the past.
South Charleston’s Jotunn Amburgey Jotunn Amburgey 6’3″ | 255 lbs | LS South Charleston | 2025 WV will be an interesting prospect to watch at the combine given how versatile he is as a prospect. We like him the most as a long snapper prospect right now but an increase in size to a listed 6’3 255 now gives him options as an OL or DL. That’s where he’ll work out at the combine and could change our minds about which position he’s ranked at. Is he a LS or lineman prospect is the question we want to be answered based on his camp performance but could still end up long-snapping in college either way. Amburgey could be one of the combine’s surprise performers because of that, and it wouldn’t surprise us to see him perform well at those spots.
Highlights
Ryan Kent Ryan Kent 5’8″ | 150 lbs | ATH St. Marys | 2025 WV is a fun under-the-radar small school prospect who will look to be discovered at the combine with a strong performance after a successful junior season for St. Marys. He’s an undersized dual-threat quarterback for the Blue Devils and is ranked as an ATH for us given his athletic versatility and size. That’s not to say Kent doesn’t have some arm talent though and he’ll look to prove as much at the combine. Our question for him to answer is can he be a serious quarterback prospect although undersized or will his testing numbers show he can play receiver or defensive back at the next level? Kent threw for 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior with just 4 interceptions while rushing for 350 yards and two more scores.
Hurricane will need to replace some starting offensive linemen from last season and 2025 OL Logan French Logan French 6’0″ | 255 lbs | OL Hurricane | 2025 WV looks to be in the mix to earn one of those spots. He saw some spot duty on varsity and was a starter on the JV team last season but needs to take the next step in his development to be a varsity starter. French is capable of doing so, and that’s the question we’ll be looking for him to answer at the combine. He can earn some small college opportunities if he’s able to secure one of those spots on a very talented Redskins team who will have plenty of eyes on them next season. His patience for waiting his turn could pay off for him during his senior year, and that starts in the off-season with a strong combine performance.
An event like the combine is a great opportunity for prospects like Preston’s Cody Smith Cody Smith 6’0″ | 170 lbs | WR Preston | 2025 WV who has very limited info and film available right now to show what he can do. We have him listed as a WR for now, but he also has DB versatility and finished 6th in tackles on the team with two interceptions as a junior last season. The question for Smith will be just what can he do and which position should he be ranked at? We got a small glimpse of his ability with what limited film is available, and Smith flashed some athletic ability that makes him an intriguing watch at the combine. Preston is typically an under-the-radar program, but Smith can prove he can play at the next level with a strong performance at the combine.
