was another PRZ WV Combine participant in the spring who springboarded that into a successful senior season. He likely wasn’t on many radars before seeing him in person at our camp but produced a senior year that should have D3 programs calling. Smith has the potential frame to grow into a future TE if he can keep adding more size. He posted nearly 600 yards and 6 touchdowns for the Knights this season and has the potential to play OLB at the next level too. Smith saw reps at both TE and receiver this season showing he can do both and could play out of the slot in college as a bigger-bodied receiver.

at our PRZ WV Combine earlier this year and he’s putting together a very strong senior year for the Knights at the halfway point of the season.
Smith is coming off a great performance against East Fairmont which saw him catch 3 passes for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s a nice-sized target on the outside who can also line up in the slot of tight to the line and can execute a wide range of routes. Smith is a rangy player with quality speed that can beat defenses over the top but can also utilize his route-running ability on intermediate routes. He has experience at DB and LB as well and has provided quality play at those spots as well this season.

We have him listed as a WR for now, but he also has DB versatility and finished 6th in tackles on the team with two interceptions as a junior last season. The question for Smith will be just what can he do and which position should he be ranked at? We got a small glimpse of his ability with what limited film is available, and Smith flashed some athletic ability that makes him an intriguing watch at the combine. Preston is typically an under-the-radar program, but Smith can prove he can play at the next level with a strong performance at the combine.
