The teams that participate in seven on seven tournaments usually consists of players of multiple different age groups depending on the skill level of a player which allows scouts opportunities to view the young stars of the future. Today we are going to breakdown the abilities of a few of the top class of 2027 players from Canada to provide an opportunity to know the names that will be heavily recruited by major universities in a few years.
Darian Coates-Cameron has all of the makings of a future NCAA FBS player as a receiver. Coates-Cameron has a great frame to grow into as he comes in at 6’3″ and 180lb, while also possessing open-field separating speed. Coates-Cameron can line up as a slot receiver or as an isolated X receiver thanks to his size and ability to win vertically with his speed. Coates-Cameron is a natural at tracking the ball in the air as he makes over-the-shoulder catches look routine while also being able to adjust mid-route to the correct shoulder to make the catch. Despite Coates-Cameron having great vertical speed he doesn’t have great acceleration which limits his ability to be sudden on his breaks and change speeds to win on intermediate routes. Coates-Cameron has lots of time to improve his acceleration which would take his route running to another level and allow him to become a dominant high school receiver. Coates-Cameron is someone who I project to garner many NCAA FBS offers.

Lukas Lalji Lukas Lalji 5’11” | 150 lbs | QB Lynden | 2027 WA is a top quarterback prospect for the class of 2027 out of the Pacific Northwest. Coming in at a highly projectable 6’0″ 165lb frame, Lalji is a very good dual-threat quarterback prospect. Lalji possesses great arm talent as he can throw the ball with velocity to all three levels and can attack every inch of the field. Lalji has a quick short arm release that allows him to generate quick rpms on the ball which allows him to drive a football into tight short and intermediate passing windows. He can also drop down his arm angle to throw the ball side arm as another way to get the ball to his target. Lalji can also layer throws with touch in the intermediate passing game, which is hard to do with his throwing motion because of how low his elbow drops in his throwing motion. Lalji has excellent mobility as he possesses a 4.8s forty-yard dash time that shows on tape as he maneuvers the pocket well to avoid the oncoming pass rush while keeping his eyes downfield to pass the ball. Lalji is already a great NCAA FBS prospect as he has all the tools any major college program would want, but if he can clean up his throwing mechanics he’ll unlock even more arm talent, and he could truly become one of, if not the top quarterback prospects for his recruiting class in the U.S.

David Gabriel Georges
David Gabriel Georges
David Georges is one of the top running back prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Georges is a dynamic and electric running back who dominated his competition. Georges has tremendous speed and acceleration as he is usually the fastest player on the field as he often separates from defenders in the open field. His acceleration jumps out on tape as he blows by a defensive lineman in one step once he chooses which hole to run through. He is incredibly agile as he can jump cut and one cut in an instant without losing speed. Georges also has great vision as he can shine in any type of run scheme because he has a knack for finding the open holes. He is also big enough already to handle running in between the tackles and short-yardage situations. Georges is a tremendous talent who already has an offer from the University of Oregon, which should lead to many more NCAA FBS offers once more programs watch the tape.
Benjamin Rinfret-Racette Benjamin Rinfret-Racette 6’3″ | 220 lbs | OL Collège Bourget | 2027 CAD is an excellent offensive line prospect coming in at 6’4″ and 245lb. Rinfret-Racette has primarily played in the interior of the offensive line whether that be at guard or center. He is exceptional in pass protection as he has a great pass set that allows him to pass set on a relatively flat angle which allows him to see all the potential threats. He can also set an anchor to hold his ground and overwhelm defensive linemen as he is often left alone on an island despite playing at a guard position. Rinfret-Racette is an excellent mover in space as he has great horizontal speed and is very agile as a pulling offensive lineman. He is also a mauler as a run blocker, as he often just overwhelms defenders with his pure strength. Rinfret-Racette is an excellent offensive line prospect who should garner NCAA FBS offers from many of the top college programs.
Zachary M Deschamps
Zachary M Deschamps
Zachary M Deschamps is a dual-threat quarterback prospect. Deschamps possesses great arm talent as he has a loose arm that allows him to throw off platform from any arm angle with accuracy. He has the arm strength to make any throw on the field while also being able to layer throws with touch at the intermediate level. Due to his height, he does have some limitations throwing in the middle of the field as he doesn’t step into passes when throwing over the middle instead he drifts onto his backfoot which can cause passes to sail over his target’s head. Deschamps is a play-creator with his legs as he is elusive in the pocket and makes defenders miss while he scrambles. He always keeps his eyes downfield when scrambling as he is looking for an outlet to pass the ball because of his loose arm he can get the ball out on target in any situation. Deschamps will probably get overlooked by major college programs due to his size but he will make schools regret their decisions not to recruit him because he is exceptionally talented.
