Lock out of Huron Heights is a LB/FB and gets a ton of carries offensively as the FB in a very run-oriented offense. Lock at the MLB position not only has the measurables but is very effective coming downhill and making plays around the LOS. Lock plays with good strength and can get off blocks but he lives around the LOS and has shown to be an effective blitzer. Lock does not have a ton of man coverage on tape but he effectively reads the screen game and showcases the ability to move sideline to sideline.
Gabriel Andre Gabriel Andre 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Champlain-Lennoxville | 2025 State CAD – Champlain-Lennoxville
Andre who will be playing for Champlain-Lennoxville is a versatile defensive piece that can line up on the LOS at OLB or off the ball and he showcases the ability to read and react at a high level. Bennett Fauth Bennett Fauth 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Cochrane | 2025 State CAD – Cochrane
Fauth out of Cochrane is another impressive athlete at the LB position and with good measurables is an effective OLB prospect. Fauth comes off the edge with good bend and the ability to use quickness and hesitation to beat offensive tackles. He is a solid finisher both impacting the ball when sacking the quarterback and bringing down WR/RBs in space. Fauth’s best work comes when he is at the OLB position and although he spends a lot of his time going after the QB he has good movement skills in space.
Mathis Paquet Mathis Paquet 6'3" | 225 lbs | LB Limoilou | 2025 State CAD – Limoilou
Paquet out of Limoilou is another OLB prospect who does a lot of work going after the quarterback. Unlike some of the other OLB prospects in the class you see Paquet drop back into zone coverage on tape and even align 3-4 yards off the ball. Paquet moves well in space and can cover guys as they enter through his hook or curl zone. At times he is forced to play 1v1 which is not a strength of his game but he can hang with TE/SB. Paquet rushing the passer shows good speed around the edge and is a better blitzer than pure pass rusher off the edge.
