Warren grabbed the class of 2027’s top overall spot after picking up six D-I offers this offseason from Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, UNLV, Utah, and Colorado St. He’s a gifted athlete at 6’4”/210 with highly advanced ball-tracking, feel for the position, and route-running for his age. He possesses strong hands that can pluck the ball out of the air and shows his length extending for passes outside his frame. Warren- along with fellow top-10 2027s, QB Thaddeus Thatcher Thaddeus Thatcher 6’2″ | 180 lbs | QB Arbor View | 2027 State NV and WR Kai Cypher Kai Cypher 5’9″ | 150 lbs | WR Arbor View | 2027 State NV – should form one of the most dynamic passing attacks in the state over the coming years.
Thatcher was hitting his stride in first varsity season before a season-ending collarbone injury in September. The talented freshman QB won the starting job in the fall, struggled in the first two games against tough out-of-state opponents, then threw for over 500 yards and 7 TDs with 0 INTs in wins over Shadow Ridge and Coronado. He’s a gifted passer with the accuracy and arm strength to attack every level of the defense. He showed good awareness in the pocket and exceptional ball placement downfield in his limited action last season. Thatcher’s added offers from Colorado and Kansas this offseason- expect the interest/offers to continue to rise for the premier QB in Nevada’s 2027 class.
Stepp established himself as a future national recruit with the flashes he showed as a freshman for Bishop Gorman. He’s a dynamic athlete from his CB spot with promising length (6’2”/180), physicality, and instincts. He shows quick reactions, fluid hips, and drives on routes with burst in man coverage. He figures to be one of the top playmakers in Gorman’s secondary for years to come. Stepp added his first P-4 offer from Miami in early February.
Highlights
Aleaga’s imposing size (6’4”/310) and natural strength have him positioned as the top OL prospect early into the 2027 recruiting cycle. He moves well for his size, is overpowering at the POA, and gets off the ball with quick, explosive drive out of his stance. He moves bodies once he gets his hands on them and finishes blocks with violence through the whistle. Aleaga- who picked up offers from San Jose St. and UNLV last year- should continue to add to his offer list with the size and physicality he offers.
Cypher rounds out the top-5 in PRZ NV’s first round of 2027 player rankings after a productive freshman season for Arbor View- 20 catches for 400 yards and 3 TDs. He’s a fluid athlete out of the slot that showed great ability to create/find space in the intermediate-deep areas and natural hands as a pass-catcher. He can work the sidelines and middle of the field on in/out cuts and shows toughness catching through traffic. Cypher will be one one of several playmakers to watch for Arbor View’s talented young offense in the fall.
